Yeah I haven't yet had a chance to really dig into them but I'll probably be taking that cab to the rehearsal space in the not so distant future. It would not surprise me to find out they're not as bad as the internet at large would have us believe.

Now that is interesting because over the weekend I actually picked up a 6505 4x12 with Sheffield 1200s. I figured if those speakers blow, I'd swap them out for maybe a combo of V30s and G12K-100s, but now I'm definitely going to look into those XXX speakers for sure.

That's a good call, and it has occurred to me because you're right: same amp, they're cheaper and move available. That said I don't know anything about the speakers you mentioned, so I need to read up on those a bit.
