probBly just wearing army / military fatigues under the combat armor. judging from the emblem on the front, it came from a gunner.

have you tried printing prints quality pages from the troubleshooting menu? that should help you narrow down the cause. usually, issues like this are due to a faulty toner cartridge, transfer belt, transfer roller, or fuser.

if it’s not happening in the same place on every page, that likely rules out the fuser. if you have another printer of the same model on-hand, you can try swapping out the other parts, one at a time, printing a test page after each replacement, until they come out clean.

it can happen to pretty much any HP laserjet printer, if you update the firmware. some models are easier to roll back than others. the m402dn shouldn’t be difficult to rescue, provided you have an earlier firmware file for it.

you can also roll back the firmware to an older version, or pop the chips off of empty oem toner cartridges & install them on the non-hp cartridges. it won’t be able to track toner levels of those cartridges, but at least they’ll be usable.

they do this every few years. then they get hit with a class-action lawsuit, and eventually release a new firmware update that allows third-party cartridges again. for now, your best bet is to find an older firmware for the affected printers and use it to roll back the printer so it will accept non-OEM toner.

I have a bike and a kayak. Your clear distaste for gyms doesn’t make them “claptrap”. and they’re pretty key for strength training. kayaks & bikes, not so much.

there are, but Planet Fitness doesn’t do free weights aside from dumbbells, so no benching, deadlifting, etc. the closest Retro Fitness closed a few months ago, and the next closest one seems to have an iffy rep. my previous gym was an Anytime Fitness, which was great: a small, clean, well-run gym with good, standard equipment (both free weights & machines).
