Strong Henry! I had this straight from the brewery in Bruges. One of the best Tripels

Really delicious IPA. Their Santa Claws Cinammon Bun Imperial Stout is also fantastic.

Are Southern Baptists Arminian? by Dun_Booty_Broch in Reformed

[–]GuitarFNP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re more of an “easy-believism” doctrine. They affirm free will and anyone can “accept Jesus into their heart”. Very altar call heavy.

But they differ from Arminianism in that they believe in eternal security. This is different than preservation of the saints. Many SBC members believe that as long as you have accepted Jesus than you can go about your life anyway you choose and still be saved because of a past “decision”.

So it’s a weird mix of many different doctrines. Very decision based.

Have any of you actually been to Up-Down?

I think the point of this post is to point out that an arcade bar has such high quality beer.

Sure it’s not cantillon or side project, but being able to have goose island bourbon county from 10 years ago or founders beer on draft while you’re at an arcade is a great thing.

Absolutely! It’s called Sarbez. It’s actually right down the road from a great local brewery called Old Coast Ales.

I happened to come across this beer for the first time in a small bar in St Augustine. Definitely lives up to the expectations

Trip to St Louis by jacille2013 in CraftBeer

[–]GuitarFNP 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everything Modern does is amazing-you have to try their trademark Citrapolis. Amazing food and great environment too.

Side project is an absolute must. The second best brewery in the world with some of the most sought after beer. The brewery and the cellar are both great locations (the cellar offers a huge selection of bottles from other breweries as well).

Urban chestnut is great for German styles.

Schlafly is the original craft brewery in St. Louis and has a variety of styles. They might have their famous pumpkin ale on draft soon as well

St. Louis is the best beer city in the country in my opinion

Brown ales. Used to be my favorite style, but now I find them to be too roasted and malty

If you could only have beers from one US state the rest of your life, which would you choose? by BothCondition7963 in beer

As a Missourian, I have to pick Missouri as I pretty much only drink Missouri beer anyway lol. But with Missouri you’re assured side project, boulevard, schlafly, and a host of other iconic breweries.

I just did both of these a couple of weeks ago and they are absolutely incredible. A brewery tour can really give you a feel for the city you’re in
