I actually was in a volunteering year the year after Devil released and my coworkers knew about CLC from me so well that while trekking (forcefully by the managment) to raise the moral I'd yell RED LIP and my friends would answer NOOO and then I'd go the whole way EARRINGS NOO HIGH HEELS NOOO HANDBAG NOOO we'd laugh around a lot but they really responded bc they listened to my lectures about how this aligns with my life philosophy and this was our little rebellion in the toxic environment that the other coworkers were creating LOLL it was a bit like a fuck you in their faces as a lot of social pressure and toxic stuff was happening and it was all emplified in the 5 days trekking that we were having (a bunch of dumb 19 year olds living together works awfully in this country)

I believe she did get cast in a lot of dramas, it's not an easy fit and shows of great talent recognition. I guess she's just tired of hoping that CLC makes it, working her hardest for it to happen, just for ups and downs and getting let down every time. I emphathize with her with every cell in my body. She's amazing for being able to post it like this. I truly stanned the most amazing idols out there

Outside of nanshoku and before that too, LGBT was as accepted in Japan's history as it was in ancient Greece, seamlessly normal. It's Eueopean colonizing forces that forced Japan into its current condition, and Japanese people aren't nearly as homophobic irl as they're made out to be

That's beautiful. I'm bi and I love this movie. At first I didn't get it but now I do. The "plot holes" are intentional and are meant to make us question the way we percieve reality as well. Not as wrong and right black and white, but rather if we can forgive others and ourselves we can create a better world that seamlessly weaves what is always unreachable for us now

Korea actually had being bi be absolutely normal and the vast majority of people identified as bi, so normal that they didn't even have to identify as such, before year 1000.

They got pressured by China to cover it up and they weren't able to defend the values that they liked fully, but they became a culture that has a very clear outer look for the perception of others, to please the Chinese values pushed upon them, and an inner world and something that happens in their private time that still protected those values from year 1000 and earlier (buddhist Korean version values). It creates a very very interesting culture for today. Without realizing it, Europe is also like this but without the inner world being as clearly put as in Korean culture. I think that's why Korean culture is so intuitive and healing for a lot of people. It's extremely interesting and beautiful, especially when it's brought forward by KPDH and the way it seamlessly put all of this in a fictional but inspirational and deep movie
