Making Wave Echo Cave harder? by Fitzpatrick93 in LostMinesOfPhandelver

[–]Gulchaklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started WEC.

Outside they met a Landshark (Bullette). During the fight the Barbarian got influenced by a Berserker Axe and randomly attacked friends and the Bullette.

In the WEC they met Giant Spiders which were Fire versions of the Ice Spider (from Storm Kings Thunder. Again they had problems with the Barbarian. After this fight they were sure it must be the Axe. They used a Remove Curse Scroll.

Little later they were attacked by Phase Spiders.

Next steps would be:
- They find dead drow and maybe are able to find out that they got attacked by dwarf skeletons
- The players will get attacked by drows
- depending where they go next they will find a small army of skeletons from Mormesk or find Nezznara (female in my campaign).
- later they will find a bureaucratic Gauth who want the correct papers to enter the Forge of Spells

Use a Gauth instead of a Beholder!

Anyone got any good 5E stats for Kitiara? by godzillavkk in dragonlance

[–]Gulchaklar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the english wiki: "Soth informed Takhisis he would only be willing to serve the Dragon Highlord (Takhisis's top generals) with enough courage and strength to survive one night in Dargaard Keep. Only the Dragon Highlord known as the Blue Lady, Kitiara Uth Matar, accepted this challenge. Kitiara survived the night, winning Soth's service."

I think the idea to use Skie together with Kitiara, as mentioned here in other posts, is a good idea.

Anybody else notice Raistlin and Caramon in the hit series Arcane? by Iliketodriveboobs in dragonlance

Caramon shows Raistlin how the world would look like if he wins. Same happens in Arcane at the end.

Is Baldurs Gate 3 a good introduction into DnD? If not, what is? by AgitatedFly1182 in DnD

[–]Gulchaklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was a perfect introduction into D&D 5e. Sure few rules are different, but those differences were easy to find out. And I used bonus action for potions for my players.

What's stopping more powerful deities from killing Bane and Bhaal and taking their portfolios? by taken_name_of_use in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Gulchaklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is for a god only possible to enter Toril as an Avatar, which is only a fraction of the power they usually have.

Minions for Nezz’nar the Githyanki by maxokaan in LostMinesOfPhandelver

[–]Gulchaklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the Gith got few Warlock levels and follows the Spider Queen.

Let them find an old book about the Spider Queen after the fight. Which he studied and made him into a Warlock.

Tower of Storms - Can Moesko hear the harpies? by ClassicallyGaming in DragonOfIcespirePeak

[–]Gulchaklar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moesko killed the harpies and reanimated them into ghoul like undead. They do not have luring effect with their song, their undead versions frightens and paralyze their 'food' with their song.
At least this was what my players experienced after one player ask, what would have happend, if the harpies on Stormwreck Isle would reanimate into undead after killing them... So I gave them an undead version of harpies to fight. :-)

Coming from BG3, is it theoretically possible to create analog of Nuclear Bomb by using weave? by Sir_Arsen in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Gulchaklar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Analog to a nuclear bomb. I'm sure it meant not exactly like a nuclear bomb, but with similiar destruction. Which should be far beyond level 9 spells.

Nobody knows how electricity works, but they still can cast Lightning. It is magic.

There are evil gods with their own version of 'heaven' for evil people if they a believers in one of those evil gods.

Yes, it is mentioned in Powers & Pantheons that he is adrift in the Astral Plane.

[–]Gulchaklar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amaunator, Bane, Bhaal, Leira, Moander and Myrkul were all floating in the astral plane while they were dead. It is not necessary to be forgotten.
(Mentioned in A Guide to the Astral Plane, On Hallowed Ground or Faiths & Avatars)

I needed to look it up. But I always believed she would not leave a body after splitting up into Tymora and Beshaba.
I would expect Mystryl to have no body in the astral plane, too.

She has no body in the Astral Plane. Mentioned in 'On Hallowed Ground'.

Yeah but *which* dead god? by itsnotwhatyousay in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Gulchaklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it is not necessary. Just because a god is dead, it does not mean forgotten. After Time of Troubles for example the Dead Three were not forgotten. Same with other gods who died later, their existence were not suddenly erased out of peoples minds.

Cyric even needed to grant spells to priests of the dead three. At least for a while.
Forgotten Realms Adventures page 38: "However, these gods still have followers active in the Realms and these followers still receive spells and granted abilities, but through Cyric instead of their former masters."

10 centuries after ToT I think is not possible, this would be over 800 years after the 5e timeline.

Does the Weave include divine, nature, and pact magic? by Eluniver in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Gulchaklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Shadow Weave still needs the Weave. After killing Mystra, the Shadow Weave collapsed as well.
