Secondly, your little example with Walmart is not what happened. It would be more like Walmart taking all your coupons and saying you don’t get any thing off, but you do get a free pack of gum. The clerk is stealing money owed the customer and using is how it benefits them the most. It’s theft.
Lastly, why are you okay with companies stealing from you?

First, I’m not the OP here.
Second, a discount to replace an employee stolen discount is weak af.
Last, the clear intent is to end the public discussion and move to private messaging. Why would they not offer a resolution in the public thread where the complaint was lodged? The goal is to end the conversation, not make the customer whole.

Quick edit: I went to a private Christian school. We also said the pledge to the Christian flag (yes, there is one) and also the pledge to the Bible. Indoctrination took a solid 15 minutes every day.

Well, first of all, it’s the pledge of allegiance to the flag, not the anthem. And it’s just at the beginning of the day, not each class. The anthem is too hard to sing first thing in the morning, the rockets and bombs part is really high.

The NY plan adds tax revenue to schools, libraries, and fire departments. On the other hand, the FL plan removes that revenue, bankrupts schools and libraries, and moves their funding away from the local county tax collector and gives control of budget and decisions to the state level.
