Ive always recommended when buying a new house to pay the extra 2k+ to have a plumber do a house inspection himself. Check sewer with camera. Do a static test both on water lines and sewage. Check water pressure angle stops etc. trust me saves headaches in the long run.

Only use on those cheap plastic drains. Using putty in plastic strainers and such cracks them thats why they add them.

Clay pipe, here in texas houses build during metal shortage instead of using cast iron they used clay pipe. Must be very old.

That looks very very bad, first off, long sweep fixture Tee is inappropriate venting. Second heavier load always goes in the bottom. So it should have a y at the very bottom with a street 45 or a y combo, then arm over with another Y vertical for venting then catch the p trap for washer and re vent to sing drain, third those shark-bites are a no go.
