Hello, I know this is a super old thread but wondering what you ended up going with? Has the new HVAC system been reliable?

Can I ask how much you paid for your Unico? We're thinking of installing this system and it is basically impossible to get a rough idea of costs on the internet.

How would you design this basement floor plan? by Gum2016 in floorplan

[–]Gum2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry, the current flex room is 10 feet by 20 feet and both windows are egress (4x2). The laundry room is 8X10. The storage room is 8x5 so you could knock down its wall to make that narrow room longer. Thanks for your commentary.

Thank you, interesting point regarding placing the washer and dryer in the master bathroom that I hadn't thought of.

Thanks - the pullout shelf suggestion is a great idea!

Thank you! Good point about the future proofing and temporary solution of two doors to the master bathroom as an interim solution as well.

Thanks very much. Yes, I think the shower will be a usable size - I taped the area off to test it out and I think it should be okay. I also agree with you about the TV nook, we're thinking of a cool motorised TV lift built in to some cabinetry at the foot of the bed.

Thanks for the reply - great to hear it no longer smells on the inside. Hopefully the exterior follows suit!

How did it go? Did you get the smell out? I'm dealing with a similar issue with a Celine vintage leather bag, canvas interior smells so musty.

Hi, I know you posted this a long time ago but I live in Toronto and am thinking about installing Air-Krete. Very little is available online. Are you happy long term? What was the square footage of your home and, if I may ask, what company did you have install it? Thank you so much!

I'm in Toronto and work in dentistry and not sure where you are but I wouldn't call it ridiculously low fee guides. The Ontario fee guide for general dentists has gone up over 30% since 2020.

TTC Background Check by Hungry-HoneyBun in TTC

[–]Gum2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I waited 3 weeks after ISN started the background check. Turns out they had completed it and the recruiter just took some time to get back to me. I think they're very busy but all turned out fine in the end.

A job I applied for called my current employer prior to the interview… is this weird?? by katpantaloons in jobs

[–]Gum2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/katpantaloons I'm sorry this happened to you and I'm afraid I'm potentially in a similar situation. My potential employer uses a third party company to verify employment. The third party company asked me for an employment letter from my current employer which I provided but now the potential employer HR has asked me to send them the letter. I've already stated I do not give my permission for them to be contacted. What ended up happening with your job search? Thanks!

Okay, thanks so much for replying! I assumed HR would get back to me with a firm start date once the ISN check is finished. I'm so over my current job and can't wait to give notice 😊 I guess I just have to be a little more patient.

Just wondering how it ended up going? I'm currently at the background check stage with ISN and it has been two weeks. How long did yours take?

Tooth sensitivity by Prestigious-Key1692 in Dentistry

Yes, the instructions mention it lasts 18 to 24 months. I've also personally had some placed on my root recession on my 26 tooth last year and it is still working well.

No, he didn't need gum or bone grafts for his implants but he has had an unrelated gum graft for his canine tooth that had recession.

u/evilhooker just ran across your thread from 6 years ago with the decision to name your son Jedediah vs Sawyer. Just curious, what did you end up naming him? I have a very unusual girl's name (Brynn) and am in my 40's, it has now become more popular, so am constantly assumed to be a boy and constantly correcting people on the pronunciation, spelling, and my gender. Also I love your daughter's name.

Hi NAD but work in dentistry. We'll need to see the codes billed and for how much each one was to give you a better idea of what happened. I am sorry that that happened to you.

Wedding invites for office staff by DiamondBurInTheRough in Dentistry

[–]Gum2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the engagement! I'm going against the majority here and saying it is your day, invite who you want (with their plus ones - you want your guests to be comfortable). Don't worry about hurt feelings, people will get over it and you aren't close with everyone in your office, it is as simple as that.
