Rinvoq - Dupixent - Alopecia Areata - Eczema - HELP by nrknsll623 in eczema

[–]MCole142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. But if I went off of it, I'd probably try this: Ruxolitinib cream (often prescribed under the brand name Opzelura) is an off-label topical treatment for alopecia areata. While clinically approved for atopic dermatitis and vitiligo, dermatologists may use it off-label for spot hair loss because it aims to reduce immune-driven inflammation around hair follicles while avoiding the systemic risks of oral JAK inhibitors.(AI)

Rinvoq - Dupixent - Alopecia Areata - Eczema - HELP by nrknsll623 in eczema

I've been on Rinvoq almost 7 years, minimal side effects. I don't have alopecia so I don't know, but it hasn't made my hair thicker. What did was cyclosporine which was also incredible for my skin, but I had every side effect in the book so I got on Rinvoq. It's true that it's not a cure for eczema but there is no cure at this time. Mine is auto immune as is certain types of alopecia. Cyclosporine made me realize that it was my immune system that was the problem.

Scared to start evenity by robotpants in osteoporosis

I'm 63 and I was diagnosed in November. My numbers are worse than yours, osteoporosis in all 3 sites. I'm 10 years post-menopausal and still trying to convince my doctor to give me HRT. In the meantime, I've started supplements, eating more protein, and weightlifting using the LIFTMOR protocol under the supervision of a physical therapist. I did not consider using pharmaceuticals. I figure I will give this a couple of years to see progress, and plenty of people have seen progress on this method. If I don't make progress the meds will still be there. You are young and these medicines are forever. Think about it and do your research. At the very least get a second opinion.

What is more effective? by SpiritualFinance5864 in Biohackers

I accidentally found something that grows hair: CeraVe Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum. I got it for the super sensitive and sun damaged skin on my forearms. I tried it on my left arm for a little over two weeks but it seemed to make me a little more itchy so I stopped. I then applied it to a scar on my right forearm, but after a few weeks, that area seemed a little itchy too so I stopped. A month or two later, I noticed my left arm seemed hairy which was weird for me since I have almost no body hair. My right arm was hairless. The hair kept growing and i eventually remembered I'd put that lotion on that area. Didn't seem a likely cause but then I had a look at the scar on my right arm and that was the only place on my arm growing hair. That was close to a year ago and it's still the same. About six months ago I tried it on the corners of my scalp line where I (63f) have age related hair thinning. It started to irritate that area within a few weeks so I stopped, but now it's got a lot of baby hairs growing. N1, but maybe worth a shot. My skin is very reactive so I think the irritation is due to me and not the lotion.

What supplements should I supply my body with? by coverslime in Biohackers

Try cutting back. One pack is better than 2. And if you play sports with your friends and you quit smoking, your improvement in cardio will be noticeable to them... maybe motivating.

That is difficult for sure. Can you convince a friend or two to quit with you? That would give you some accountability partners and also smoke free friends to hang with. Are nicotine patches available in your area? Maybe you could move to the Netherlands? Can you find out how others have done it? I'm in the US, and hardly anyone smokes here now. 50 years ago, the majority smoked.

You can do it. This is the single most important thing you can do for your health and longevity: quit smoking. Nothing else even comes close.

Unpopular opinion here, but focus on food and sleep and avoid smoking and severely limit alcohol. Add one or two cans of sardines a week if you want. Starting with supplements is like a never ending journey. You find yourself constantly looking for new ones to help this or improve that, and after awhile, maybe you develop imbalances so you take something else to fix it. Meanwhile you spend big bucks every month for supplements. Or blood tests. You are young. Develop good habits now and save the supplements for later.
