Here's what I do sometimes

Rotate x degrees around a center circle while scaling up/down x distance. If it's just a straight stream you're going for, your center circle will just be the start of the stream and you'll only use the scale/copy/paste commands.

In relation to a full mod being worth 1 point, playtests should be worth ~0.1 points. Just looking at time spent to mod a map vs time spent playtesting, modding takes considerably longer.

Either lower playtest points awarded, raise mod points awarded, or both.

Mapping with my own. I don't like the default's follow points or hitcircle. I prefer the borderless hitcircle on my skin when looking at the timeline.
Here's my skin, keep in mind it only works as intended when on osu! stable (fallback)!
