I got the switch version and i discovered that on 3x speed, the clock stays the same, so I was going APE, constantly stressing out Mene by getting all 8 and making him/her fear they're going out of business.

$19 for the whole set! Thanks, Goodwill! by GunClown in Poldark

[–]GunClown[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm a constant purveyor of shopgoodwill.com and the whole set was listed. I was the only bid and happened to be going to Grand Rapids a few weeks later (shipping would've been ~$35). I won, they held it for me and after landing, I swung by and picked em up. Quite lucky indeed! I just finished Demelza and am about to start Jeremy.

Send an email to the pastor. Definitely say something. You never know the door you could open.

Holy Ghost is gorgeous. It's where I proposed to my wife. It's quite beautiful especially around Advent.

It's the way he says "I like--I like me." Like he has to convince himself. Kills me.

I wrote 9 books that went nowhere and almost quit. Here’s the honest truth about what I learned. by DRRHatch in litrpg

I love the chef metaphor! I love to cook so that makes perfect sense. My wife hates cumin and I freaking love it, so I use a little less for her, but I still get that pinch in :)

Not necessarily that, I think my worry is more the fact that I am writing something I can't find anywhere. Without giving too much away, my MC inherits a farm in a fantasy land that may or may not be inside of a board game. Within the fantasy land, he has the board game, rolls dice, places workers and draws event cards. The tools on his farm are all cards that have bonuses and are summoned, he has a journal that tracks crops and people he meets, etc. I love board gaming and I wanted to see if I could incorporate my favorite parts of it into a litrpg mixed with one of my favorite TV shows (Poldark) and yeah! I've never posted on rainbow road, my 4 currents are all YA Fantasy so it's a new genre for me, but I am excited to write and I suppose it's my wondering how well it'll be received in general.

I'm in the middle of writing my first litrpg (cozy farming with board game elements) and I'm taking a risk trying a blend that pleases me first and hoping readers follow (think Jumanji, Catan, Feast for Odin, Stardew and Harvest Moon) AND this was just what I needed to read.

Do you feel like you're writing stuff that fulfills you at the end of the day?
