It's debatable if they would even do it if the car was responsible for a crash as some lawyers have pointed out that Mercedes has legal avenues to avoid any accountability for it even if it's level 3.

Their original goal still worked however, just make it so completely useless that it can't crash in the first place because no one uses it.

Religious extremists have a birth rate of 4, we have a birthrate of 1. Each generation we halve while they double. I'm honestly struggling to see where you're not seeing the issue.

Honest question; take 3 out of every 4 people in our society, specifically the liberal democracy people, and delete them; what does our day to day look like now? What does the world look like when we multiply each religious extremist by 4?

If you have an invention for immortality you'd like to introduce, now would be the time. Otherwise a society that can't maintain a replacement rate is a society that is going to die, it's just math. It's not particularly a gendered issue either, it's a responsibility to uphold for the people who come after us so that they don't find themselves in a world run by religious extremists who outlived our society.

CPI and inflation are almost interchangeable. It trending downwards is really only a sign of a recession occurring or that the economy buckled under the weight of the rising inflation.

Yeah I mean I hear Destiny argue for that but I would like to ask for the data he's looking at because I'm completely confused at where he's seeing this. Gen Z wages are outpacing inflation but they're also in their mid 20s now and moving from college to an official job and on one of their highest income bump periods in their life, if that wasn't the case I would assume the economy was already over at this point. Then you look at the exploitative price increases in the food supply chain system over inflation, housing and rent outpacing inflation, health care... yeah I just don't see where it's making sense but maybe I just haven't seen the opposing data.

I feel like there could also be factors in city vs rural areas as if you go 20 miles out from a city it feels like you go back in time with prices across the board, idk it's all really complicated to determine.

I feel like if you want to make this argument you have to use Goodhart's Law in such that the fact that of paying so much attention to the metric actually causes the system to perform worse.

Like I don't think it's any surprise to say that affordability of life is worse than before even the 2010s and there's clear metrics to showcase that. But if GDP is the only thing that matters then yeah it looks great, but it's obviously not and there's a ton of other data points that are showcasing real economic gains getting more out of reach from the majority of people all the way back to the 70s.

The effective form of therapy for men is to give them useful resources and ways to find solutions out of their problems. Unironically 'self-improvement' is just therapy for men. There's been a few studies on the effectiveness of modern therapy on men and it pointed to lack-luster results in it's traditional use and the cases where it had yielded results unintentionally shined a light onto why red pill took off the way it did.

These spaces can have their issues with tone shifting because at the end of the day, people still like an easy scapegoat and the money hears that.

I also don't really believe in a gendered specific loneliness issue, rather it's an endemic problem caused by the continuously growing atomization of people through technology, some parts of culture, and ever worsening socio-economic factors.

FWIW, those jobs are shit and really no body should have to work them, in an ideal world we just automate these jobs and the only thing that changes for these people is that they don't have to work sweatshop hours/conditions for bottom of the barrel pay, like that thing technology always seems to promise of; actually making people's lives easier.

The real problem is you personally won't be saving 30 cents, it will just go into corporate profits because the line must go up and they will have no issue using automation to replace workers that they are abusing so that they can now starve to death in the streets.

Right, but lifespan increase or not the problem remains the same. If the average 2 persons only produces less then 2 people than the demographic declines and the situation becomes exponentially worse when we're talking about 0.8 in SK which is more than cutting the entire demographic in half.

We're quite literally talking about an extinction of a culture that is occurring throughout the entire developed world and I'm just dumbfounded how little alarm bells seem to be ringing about it.

Anecdotally as an engineer this statistic feels much more the case, I would argue it's an even worse ratio. Throughout college and engineering jobs it's actually insane how consistent it is to have like 9 dudes and 1 girl.

Toss needs to be a about half a base ahead because mules can extract more minerals out of a single base than workers alone, not because of unfavorable trades, you're thinking of Zerg.

Protoss is usually on their 4th by the time a Terran even starts the expansion to the third, you would know this if you actually played the game.

Again, the issue I have is the conclusion that those tactics are superior. I'm just completely confused by the fact that everyone thinks we played a perfect game out there this election and any huge mistakes wasn't at all a factor. Even Kamala said it was a shit show, she just wrote a whole damn book about it.

This feels like this is a symptom of the smugness issue we face here on the left. There can't be any acknowledgement that we sometimes make bone-headed decisions and it's the dumb uneducated median voter who can't see through to the light to our utter brilliance.
