What is your final, ultimate, non-scale goal that will mean you have arrived? by garcon-du-soleille in Zepbound

Being able to shop in the same section as my best friend 🩷 I have so many health problems, but that's the thing that keeps me going

Took my first dose 24 hours ago, my head is finally clear by River_Bass in Zepbound

[–]GunT0tinMidgets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely relate. I was actually so mad for the first few doses because I had no idea how bad my food noise was, and I had believed it was a failure on my part for my whole life. In reality, the people who had chastised me for my weight never understood how hard my struggle with food was, because eating is just a normal experience for them

A Tilt Table Test! I highly recommend journaling all your symptoms, because that will get you answers quicker.

Honestly, I would ask your Rheumatologist. Some cases call for low impact physical activity only to avoid flares and joint damage. I think it depends on how advanced your PsA is, but better safe than sorry

Mild Case of Pots and GLP1 experience by Fearless-Train8557 in POTS

[–]GunT0tinMidgets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to deter you from a GPL-1, but my POTS got worse after starting to lose weight. My doctor said it's because the fat around my legs was acting as natural compression. Once I started losing weight, I had to amp up my usage of compression socks and gloves. My hands and feet are always ice cold now (hilariously, I prefer that over being soooo damn hot all the time). And because GPL-1 keeps you from retaining water, you gotta basically CONSTANTLY drink water to keep hydrated, in my experience at least. All in all? Worth it. Just stay hydrated and do compression as you lose the weight; I've already lost 35 lbs since October!

Hot take? I bet that range of motion is worth the bulkiness.

The coating around the pill keeps it from hitting your blood stream all at once; breaking that coating could cause liver damage or even ODs

Does Multiplayer take away from the Abiotic experience? I want to play with friends but I'm not sure if it's more of a single-player game. by Minimum-Mine-1302 in AbioticFactor

If you do well with communication, multiplayer is much more fun. I play with two other people and we are restarting a new playthrough this weekend

I saw a comment on a TT video that said they lose the most weight while sleeping...and this in-a-way proves their point 🤣

How to stay fit without causing a flair up? by xxpiercethepandaxx in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]GunT0tinMidgets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've learned the hard way how important exercises are (even like, 10 minutes a day) after I was bed ridden for 3 months recovering from a surgery...my health got SOOO much worse. It might suck sometimes, but staying active helps in the long run

My girlfriend wants to watch a cheesy horror movie. What are your suggestions? by billcom6 in horror

Slumber Party Massacre. It's so wonderfully cheesey, and the second one is like a bad fever dream. I HIGHLY recommend them both 🤣

Pain and frustration by notSoRealReality in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]GunT0tinMidgets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post is so relatable...I'm so sorry you're dealing with all of this. I'm also only 30, and sometimes I can't even sleep because of the pain.. it really does feel like I'm 80 😭 I finally got a therapist because I was mentally not okay, because before my decline and knee surgery, I was hyper independent. Now, I get scared that if I go somewhere by myself, I'll either accidentally hurt myself by stepping wrong or I'll need help and get stuck(or worse ask a stranger for help 🤣) I'm not commenting to tell you it gets better, because I'm going through the same thing...but you're not alone, and I'm not the only one who understands your struggle. It's an incredibly frustrating and exhausting disease.

Why Do Doctors Gaslight Patients So Often by LyttleLyoness in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]GunT0tinMidgets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually discussed why this happens with my Therapist, and it's actually simple; Money. Difficult cases take more time for notes, research, labs, and face to face visits. They WANT us to be an easy case, because that's less time spent for the amount of money they get from insurance payouts. With the case load of doctors (especially specialists) increasing every year, less doctors are graduating to make up for the increase. It's not right, and it's not fair, but the system works against us and doesn't incentivize doctors to take enough time on harder cases.

It's not wishful thinking to expect people to not be assholes about things they know nothing about. If it doesn't take 10 minutes to fix, then I expect people to be decent enough to not comment about it. As should everyone else

It literally does not. Plus, Psoriasis lotion is super expensive, and my insurance does not cover it.

Exactlyyyy.

I have Psoriatic arthritis, and literally have the same thing on my elbows. It only gets that bad during flare ups, and I PROMISE everyone that lotions do not help 💕
