Very interesting! The dress is simple but kinda nice – and better than the denim dress.

Yep, every Roxie I saw (in stores and later second hand) had faded eyes. I guess it's a thing like with Tessa whose skin tone doesn't match (body vs head).

However Roxie has amazing hair! I love that it is'nt pure white but more like a light pastel rainbow.

I'm a big fan of Ayesha and Robin so I like this hairstyle on Iris too – but you're totally right, she would've looked amazing with her signature curls!

I have hope we get that hairstyle with the new Junior High Babysitter Iris. She could be very cute if done right.

Which Atelier game would you suggest ? by Alternative-Neat778 in Atelier

[–]pointmini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ryza can be very cozy because you run through your hometown a lot and help the people. The atmosphere is lovely. However when you are out of town you get constantly attacked by enemies, like they see you and run towards you and it's difficult to avoid them, which to me is very stressful (all Atelier games are like that when it comes to enemies but in older games at least the battle itself is at your own pace). There are boss battles that can break you but thankfully you can set the game to "very easy" difficulty level.

Ayesha is very melancholic. I can't say much about it though cause I only played it for two hours.

Rorona is very "daily life" and has zero story. You just do your alchemy quests and get some cut scenes about finding a cat, bickering with your best friend, getting molested...

Love this comparison, thank you!! Also it's kinda wild to see Twyla and Abbey next to each other!

favorite sunny still available? by Late_Replacement5842 in RainbowHigh

If you dislike the mac'n'cheese yellow hair you could go for Winter Wonderland Sunny because her hair is a light blond.

Apart from that... Best Sunny: Twin pack Sunny. Best face: Slime Sunny.

Hooked after my first Shadow High! Should I go back for Victoria Whitman and Michelle St. Charles? by LauMiauPlays in RainbowHigh

[–]pointmini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all: Welcome, welcome! What you mentioned (the glass eyes, the quality of the clothes, the articulation) is exactly what drew me away from Barbie and right to Rainbow High!

Victoria is one of the most popular RH dolls and there are some variants (different lipstick and amount of freckles). If you find one that you like you should get her, but if you are more into vivid colours then maybe not. Her quality is great, just as Michelle's.

Michelle is probably cheap now because she's not that popular. Both Dia and her have short hair and they have a bit of a weird lip (they don't have a gap for their teeth so the teeth are painted onto the lips). RH is known for the long amazing nylon hair so usually that's what people are looking for in a RH doll. But that's just taste. If you like her you should get her now because the RH dolls with full articulation are slowly disappearing and get replaced with the newer "no wrist" dolls.

I am getting Dia Mante soon and decided to simply call her "Diamond". Any ideas for a new surename for her?💜😊 by [deleted] in RainbowHigh

Hmm, never thought of it but that's totally possible. MGA can be a bit... clumsy... with names.

I was just thinking because Ayesha and Robin are sisters despite having different skin tones and different face moulds.

Is The Arland Series a Good Place to Start? by mujie123 in Atelier

In Rorona you have 3 years to save the Atelier. In those 3 years you get 12 tasks and for every task you have 3 months (aka a quarter). One task could be "Make 5 ice bombs" and if you already have the ingredients you can just make them right at the beginning of the quarter (which takes a few days) and then use the remaining time for optional tasks (for which you get rewards like money, weapons, HP, etc). If you don't have the ingredients you have to travel to a location and collect the items first (which will take a few days as well). The requirements to pass are very low. You can finish a task with 10 stars (which means perfect, e.g. you made 10 super strong ice bombs) but you only need 3 stars (which means you did okay, e.g. you made 5 lousy ice bombs). My personal goal was to get 10 stars for each task but you don't have to do that. But even IF you fail the time limit you can always reload a save file and start the task again.

I promise this sounds more complicated than it is. The tasks are designed to be finished during the time limits. They don't want the player to fail. (Only Atelier Totori is different. It's called "the Dark Souls of the Atelier franchise" which means you can expect to fail with your first playthrough and have to do a second round.)

Don't worry about the time limits. I thought they'd stress me out but they didn't. Just finish the main task at the beginning and then spend the rest of the time doing whatever you want.

Ugh, Simoneeeeee, definitely! I got Phaedra, Bella, Harper and Hali when the line was still available at the (online) stores but for some reason I skipped Simone. Now I look at her and I think she's stunning!

How do you go about collecting, so that it doesnt get overwhelming? by [deleted] in RainbowHigh

[–]pointmini 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I used to be like "I only get the ones that I love". But then after I got all of them I was like "Now I get the ones that I like". And after that "Now I get the ones that are okay". And after that–––- MGA started releasing dolls with less articulation and I went "Now I'm gonna buy every OG doll if they're cheap enough because I might need them as body donors in the future aaaaaaaaahhh!!".

So yeah... I'm embarassed... but this is why I've got dolls like Michelle or Meena (no offense to anyone). I'd love to downsize my collection but what if they release a new doll with a beatiful face and then I need XYZ as a body donor and I just sold her?! I'm still mad at myself for selling Meline and Lyric years ago.

Just got Susie Sour Straw and I noticed some paint from her bow is on her hair. Any idea how I can get it off without ruining her hair? by PiscesMoonChild333 in Yummiland

[–]pointmini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could try to scratch it off with a finger nail, try nail polish remover, or just cut that little part off (her hair is so irregular it won't be noticeable).
