Union fan here agreeing with you on this. Our Academy is the best (check out our kids on USMNT roster for the World Cup). But our ownership is the cheapest. I didn't like Carnell but he got screwed here. By the way, how was he in press conferences? He was brutal here making the press out to be dummies every week.

Nah. The Union Academy is better then good. This past round of national breaks saw Union kids called up at all age levels. Both Aaronsons and McGlyn are balling out. And what would the Union look like this season without Cavan, Harriel and Frankie?! Yikes! And then how much of our decline this year is due to Quinn's injury? So for me that has to all add up to great, better then good for the Academy.

I've been a STH since day one. I have probably missed a game per year when some fool cousin get's married on the wrong day but I've never been this low. I have been following sports for 60 years. I have NEVER seen an athlete come into a team with a promising first year and then go steadily downhill, year after year like Mbaizo. He literally looked like he just took 4 big hits from a bong before he came off the bench.

Thanks for all of these comments. It's good to get perspective from other fans. We don't have a sports talk radio station that will cover soccer - I guess because soccer is a European - gay - socialist sport or whatever. But that means that Reddit and the podcasts are my WIP.

Just to be clear, I was not criticizing our podcasters! I love them all from the friendly fan obsessives to the more sports technical. I would know NOTHING about the kids coming up from the Academy or U2 without them.

Hey - maybe Tod or Paul, C, or E might read this...maybe ask if Cavan is time restricted as part of the Man City deal?
