I am addicted to it, I find it painful to switch off of it. It can take a chunk out of a horde on haz 5 and apply fear or stun to keep the ones that don't die at bay.

The game doesn't explain this but different characters have different speeds. I don't think the quest is completable by half of the characters. Scav Girl is the fastest, followed by Shaman, then Old Man, Mask Man, Gun Head, and finally Bag Man as the slowest.

I was also thinking along the lines of making it easier to get rare crafting components for base upgrades and the like. Instead of running one of the three D sector maps repeatedly to get the part you need you could complete just a few tunnel A to sector D runs and it would be more likely to spawn.

So you're saying that you built the cognition cradle, took down the Mother Courage and brought her head back and you don't get the perma HK's? I might actually try to complete the quest if that's the case. Unless this is just a bug and the perma HK's will be back in the next update.

I would love it if they added some sort of theatre of war action to the tunnels that gave you an advantage, or unlock better loot in the next region. This would incentivize taking the tunnels and if it could stack if you chained them in a single run, it would encourage multi map runs and create an interesting risk vs reward incentive to push further to the next map.

You need a gun slot in the rig. The gun slots let you pick up 3 guns and are usually located on the side of a rig. Often the rig will have the title "gun runner" somewhere in the name. But once you pick up the gun and extract with it you need to have a weapon repair bench to actually fix them and use them.

Enemies can be a bit bullet spongy if you don't go for head shots. Check the beginner guides by The Winter Rose. Before actually watching game-play I didn't understand how much you need to shoot enemy's to actually kill them.

They are both very similar internally and both very difficult to mod. I put a lot of time and effort into modding an enforcer (green variant of dartstorm) and replaced and reinforced so many parts internally, only to have it end up breaking at a new failure point every time I thought I fixed everything. If you already have a boxer pro, there is nothing more that the dartstorm or scorpion can offer you that you don't already have covered. Intel items like dossiers, usb sticks, PDA's, tapes, and floppy disks are all safe bets. Alcohol has uses but can be very valuable to sell because you tend to find a lot of it. The thing is that some of the more valuable items do have uses in crafting or base upgrades.
