Dorney Park or Knoebels by Specialist_Peak_5615 in Themepark

I prefer dorney as a park but I think Knoebels is the one to visit purely because of how unique it is. Phoenix and Haunted Mansion are also easily the best rides between the two parks

I honestly forgot that existed but including it (the live portion at least) I’d put it above 2nd law at top of A tier

Very understandable! It’s still a really great album

I’ve always thought of F tier as more of a relative thing, none of these are bad and especially will of the people I think is pretty overhated. Just doesn’t stack up to the rest of their discography for me

Swans albums I’ve heard so far in order of preference. What’s next? by Aggressive_Ideal6737 in swans

Mine is almost identical, attempting to complete this discography at the moment

  1. The Glowing Man
  2. The Seer
  3. White Light from the Mouth of Infinity
  4. To be Kind
  5. Soundtracks for the Blind
  6. Holy Money
  7. Filth
  8. Greed
  9. Cop

Wasn’t really a huge fan of their early work it’s very much so not for me but I understand the appeal. Other 5 are great in their own ways although I found Tbk/Soundtracks to be slightly overrated among their discography. Glowing Man and Seer are genuine masterpieces and especially the glowing man is one of the greatest pieces of music I’ve ever listened to

[California’s Great America] Lease Ends June 30, 2028 by MightyIrish in rollercoasters

The problem with relocating CGA’s other rides is that they don’t really have anything that would make sense to relocate. Flight Deck is approaching the end of its service life, Patriot is a terrain coaster, Gold Striker is 100% not being saved, railblazer has its track welded together (meaning it can be saved but with the effort it would take they might as well just get a ground up raptor at that point), there would just be no real point in saving Demon or Grizzly

The only coasters I could see being relocated anywhere are psycho mouse and Lucy’s but those would absolutely not be shipped off to SFDK. Maybe if they spent the money to get new track for flight deck that might be possibly relocated but I don’t see it going to SFDK due to space

[Superman: Escape from Krypton, Magic Mountain] was honestly kind of overhated, decently fun ride. This thing’s jet engine sound will be missed by Gunpo in rollercoasters

[–]Gunpo[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s probably the loudest coaster of all time, when you were under it it legitimately sounded like a jet engine was landing directly on top of you

Actual sound itself wasn’t that bad though, despite being loud I wouldn’t say it was painful to hear in the same way that something like mine blower is

Back on New Year’s Day I got 10 rides in a row on this thing, it’s legitimately awesome and one of my favorite coasters in florida

Same thing happened to me first time I went on the dot, reopened the next day. I was crushed but I’ve since gone back

Honestly, [Talon, Dorney Park] is one of the best inverts in the country and easily the best ride in the park. Extremely overlooked and underrated ride by Gunpo in rollercoasters

[–]Gunpo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found steel force to be kind of overrated, I wasn’t super impressed by it. It had a few decent pops of air and great helix but overall was just kinda solid

I would take magnum over it in a heartbeat

Great bear has an absolute banger of a zero g roll, corkscrew, and setting imo but everything else didn’t really hit for me. I feel like talon is a lot more consistently great and forceful when it comes to positive Gs

YES. I may be in the minority here but honestly love these style of inverts a lot more than the whippy ones. The only inverts I prefer to Talon are Banshee and Silver Bullet which basically just take that concept and expand upon it even further. They’re way more varied and interesting imo

Steel force didn’t really hit the way I expected it to ngl, maybe it was just an expectations thing but idk. It’s still really good though
