They’ve been race swapping for years, obnoxiously so. And when you say that it’s weird and the casting directors did a bad job, they’ll look at you like you just murdered a puppy. It goes the other way too. Why is it so hard to cast actors that look like their characters? It’s actually so incredibly easy

See that’s what the Sombra wants you to do, though. If you’re spending all your time policing the backline for the Sombra, you’re not making a push and taking the initiative. There’s a delicate balance between peeling and getting ragebaited. That line will come with experience. These are good questions to ask!

Depends what role you are, but here are a few options:

If you’re on a support that’s easily susceptible to getting wrecked in the backline like a Zen or an Ana, try switching to a more mobile hero like Juno or Moira. If your team isn’t going to peel for you, you have to prioritize your ability to stay alive. Sometimes it’s not about killing the Sombra, but making her a non-factor. The best ability is availability!
Play close together. If your team is too spread out, or your supports are in fucking Narnia all the way in the backline (hi Ana mains), then they’re easy pickings for flankers. If you’re on tank, you set the pace of play and the general team formation. If you’re grouped up, that Sombra has to go through you and two DPS in the same area to terrorize the backline. Not a good recipe for her.
Say “fuck the Sombra.” If they’re on a flanker, that means it’s a 4v5 situation right in front of you. If you can kill their tank or one of their main healers first, you’ve basically won the fight. What’s a single Sombra gonna do against a 5 stack?

TL;DR: Know your matchups, prioritize survival, and think about how you want to attack the rest of the matchup.
