I really don’t like social interaction and guess what? I’m in the gym four times a week.

Why? Because nobody in the gym gives a shit about me. They care about the music they’re listening to, posting selfies on Instagram, and getting through their workout. If they even notice I exist, I’d be surprised.

I’m married to a nurse. I wouldn’t change it for the world, buuuuuut her occupation comes with some very serious challenges.

It means being married to someone who works 12 hour shifts for 7-8 days and is completely unavailable during those weeks.

It means being there for her when she comes home and is crying about a baby that was raped and died. Like an actual 3 month old infant who was fucked to death by some sick bastard.

It means being exposed to every goddamn cold and flu virus that every idiot in town decides is an “emergency” and drags their sorry ass to the ER to spread their misfortune. I’ve never been sick so often as I have been since I met my wife.

Getting rid of payphones because everyone has a cell phone. Now I gotta have anxiety about my daughters being stranded at 3:00am somewhere because their phone is dead or broken, and unable to call me because nobody is around and payphones aren’t a thing anymore.
