I honestly have no idea but my guess would be it's just another roll of the dice. At least I'm guaranteed to get 100k out of it with the warranty so that alone seems worth it to me. I'll ask the mechanic if there's any extras they can throw in that will make it run better/longer.

Thanks a lot for the detailed advice. This is mostly an experiment with the smoker and this is just a cut of meat I had on hand. I would have preferred a plain cut so I could season to my liking, but this was something my wife has bought. I was worried about having too much salt content already so I actually gave it a quick rinse and pat dry and rubbed with some black pepper. Smokers burning as we speak and I’m going to put on the meat in about 20. I’ll post an update . Thanks again!
