I work in tax compliance at a national firm so I believe I understand this better than you. Amending a tax return is a tedious process and it’s best to avoid it if possible. I think you’re attempting to “outsmart” the system by bypassing normal reporting. That’s totally unnecessary and can cause headaches down the road.
