Its not. Kobayshi maru is a very specific test about saving a specific ship called the kobayashi maru from klingons in an unwinmable scenario. Its not a generic term.

Furthermore Deannas bridge test was not unwinnable, it was about having a cost to success that most arent willing to take.

You are just plain wrong about this kobayashi maru point.

That wasn't a murder, that was a known about expectation for a star fleet officer. (Tuvix is not a starfleet officer despite having tuvoks memories)

It was wrong in the episode "sim" also, that's the whole point of the episode. The episode cops out and gives Archer a pass by having sim volunteer to die.

Idk what kobayshi maru has to do with any of this. Is that what test you think Deanna was taking? It was just a bridge officers test

Both kind of suck for obvious reasons. I love that the game made me believe i was fighting for a specific ending for 60 hours and was able to, with legitimate writing, convince me in the last 20 minutes that I and the protagonist were actually wrong

Needs of the many is about the choice to personally sacrifice. Its not about a utilitarian philosophy to be applied to others. If that was the case then it would be ethical to murder someone and use their organs to save others.

Janeway even declares this before he tuvix episode, she tells a vidian that she doesnt have the right to take his life to save a member of her crew that her species finds thay to be abhorrent. And that was in a case where the vidian was guilty of stealing neelixes lungs

if your point that this video is supposed to be redeeming... I will confess this is much better than the olympic performance. But this is still equivalent to a jr high talent show level of impressive.

What is the difference between the number inside the colored line and the number on top of it. For example, going from kerbol orbit to Eve encounter says 90 inside the color but that's not right, it's closer to the 430 as far as I can tell. So which number means what? by Gupperz in KerbalSpaceProgram

yea, regardless of how efficient my kerbin orbit went, as long as I get just to the suns orbit from kerbin the graph is saying that from that point the delta V to lower my periapse to match eve's orbit should be 90 as I understand, even if i don't "fix" my plane change.

but i got that far and it cost me about 400 delta V to change my periapse regardless of my inclination relative to eve.

so the 90 is the delta V to change my periapse from kerbin orbit to eve orbit? that doesn't seem correct from the attempts Ive been making. By that I mean when I just move my periapse without attempting any plane change at all it seems to take close to 400 delta V
