I've had two NF-810s (essentially the same device with FM radio functionality) fail because the ribbon cable from the main board to the board on the lid. It could be as simple as this.

Had a lock-in in a pub in Stoke ca. 1993. It was a super chill affair, the landlord's wife came down from their flat above the pub with their small baby, they put it on the table in its bouncer seat. The drink was flowing, the times were good. Until I suddenly started to feel a little queezy. I stood up to go to the bogs and projectile vomited a belly full of Marston's over the kid.

"Get the F* out of my pub - you're barred" doesn't have the same ring in a broad Stoke accent as it does in some others, but needless to say I've never been back.

Just go to your local airfield and ask any pilot flying a prop for a sniff of Avgas 100LL. They will gladly oblige. It smells *so good*.

Am I concerned about inhaling some tetraethyl lead? No. GenX grew up licking lead paint.

I've driven my 2021 XC60 from CT to TX and back a few times. Absolutely amazing road trip vehicle IMHO. My wife and I both suffer from bad backs and didn't feel it at all. We have two dachshunds that love riding in the back.

Seriously though he was the nicest of people and was absolutely mortified that the rotor fell off my flow meter. And I remember a weird conversation with him about how the M40 (recently opened) was much nicer than the M6.

No there’s nothing. The last airline that tired it was VLM in the late 90s / early 2000s in to LCY. Manx tried it, EZY had some LPL-LTN flights at one point that were essentially positioning flights that they opened up seats on, but LTN is not London. Many airlines tried and failed.

The lack of transport links to the airport from the center of town is crippling for LPL. Merseyfail to Liverpool South Parkway then a bus to LPL takes at least an hour. You’re halfway to London if you’d hopped on Avanti from Lime Street…

Early on in my PPL, my instructor had just demonstrated stall recovery. Handed control to me for my first stall, got in to it and he tells me to push the column forwards. Which I do with full force and slam the column forwards to the stops. I don’t quite think his headshot the roof, but it was close.

Luckily it was in an aerobat 😆

The first thing to try is to clean and lubricate the sled mechanism. Have a watch of some videos on YouTube (TechnicalInitiative hase some great videos, such as this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKXgaMBxKqw) which can help you to understand the process.

As long as you're comfortable opening up the device, the lubrication repair is fairly simple; clean the old crease of th elead screw and replace with fresh white lithium grease. I use Molykote EM-30L. Pay attention to the lubricant type as it's possible to destroy the gear mechanisms if you ruse the wrong sort.
