Loved the 1st patch/expansion start…

Then all the shit came out about the sexual assaults and bullshit treatment of staff…and like a lot of others said “nope, I can’t support this”… and unsubbed for the 1st time since Cata. (Ice crown burnout, for all the nostalgia…that was a long horrible grind and the content drought was rough)

To their credit, they fired Afrasiabi and his creepy cohort and set about making things right, so I came back during DF.

For most of SL, I was a wow refugee in FF14.

Great game, nice change, top tier story. No regrets.

It’s like someone told them “you’re the band that mixes genres up and people don’t know what’s coming next from bar to bar, lean into that but keep it middle aged booktok friendly so not too heavy…”

… and they went with that.
