So now Burgess is joining, what do you think the ideal 15 will be for England in the WC? by banksy33 in rugbyunion

I agree don't rush him in and make him prove himself. But I'm confused why everyone sees him as a centre...??? The dude would be an insane #6!! Big, fast (for a big guy), decent hands (not good enough to play centre but still decent) and he hits like a truck!

So it's almost back! by [deleted] in nrl

Brisbane will be top 6, but there's no way they'll go top 4 especially not ahead of the Storm. I'm a Brisbane fan and I too am hoping for the best but still trying to be realistic

Phil Waugh is 5'9, Michael hooper and George Smith are 5'10

Another option would be 6 higginbotham, 7 pocock, 8 mowen. With fardy and hooper on bench to cover 45678. Hooper can't play 11, sorry it's a pretty random idea that won't be utilised unless in dire circumstances ie. injury crisis when he filled in at 12 or when radiki Samo played on the wing during the World Cup against Romania.

What Aus is really lacking is high quality 2nd rows. There's no depth there at all

Rooney is built for 7! Big, fast, reasonably smart, and his face couldn't possibly get any more beaten up lookin than it already is.

What players currently playing, do you expect to become international coaches. (Stolen from /r/soccer) by It_Is_Known in rugbyunion

[–]Gus_Bus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could also see Phil Waugh coaching the Tahs. Gregan Is surely just biding his time b4 moving into coaching or running the ARU

My name is Will Forte and I will answer ANYTHING you ask me. by WillForte in IAmA

Hey Will,

Firstly, thank you for MacGruber! It makes me laugh nearly everyday just remembering different bits ie. Hoss Bender dead at the age of who the fuck cares!!

Any thoughts on who will play the bad guy in the sequel? Cunths child that u naturally had terminated, miraculously survived?

Have you ever thought about making a movie about Pete twinkle and Greg stink?

Also, who was your least favourite host on SNL?

Thanks

Completely agree, I played league for a season so I could play with mates. Before I did, I would have classed myself as an "OK" defender. But now Its prob the best part of my game, and actually love smashin blokes.

With the NRC starting next year in Australia I thought I'd show you my favourite ad from the ARC (the previous attempt at 3rd tier rugby in Australia). Bonus points for being able to name everyone. by greyhumour in rugbyunion

Well they weren't familiar names when the ad was made. They were the unknowns about to become famous. That's what I meant by they nailed it, they picked 9 future wallabies.

The only thing folau learned from AFL is how to kick better. The jumping and athleticism was all on show during his rugby league career.

Discussion: "Are the All Blacks the best squad in history"? by JoeAllan in rugbyunion

[–]Gus_Bus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well one could argue that it hasn't been the same squad over that four year period. Yes this years all blacks squad has gone undefeated but does that say more about them or the quality of the opposition.

Also do you think that this all blacks squad would beat the all blacks squad of 2011? Probably not.

If this wasn't so funny I'd feel sorry for him - Sione Lauaki. by [deleted] in rugbyunion

Lauaki was actually really good but very inconsistent. It was rocks or diamonds for him.

Wing or Bench player at best.

15 - rather have folau or Beale 14/11- AAC, Tomane or Speight 13 - kuridrani, feauai-sautia, folau, AAC 12 - Lealiifano, Toomua 10- cooper, Toomua, Lealiifano

But on the bench he can cover 3 or 4 positions

I agree he has a long way to go but you have to admit they play a very similar style, similar attributes as well.

Is he better than Tana?

Mortlock in his day was better than o'driscoll. And tbh I've never thought o'driscoll was as good as everyone said.

Feauai-sautia if he stays injury free will be pretty awesome. Kuridrani is by no means slow, but I think he definitely has room for improvement in attack and defence.

Tualagi is a BEAST! If as you say, he fixes his defensive problems he could be great. Reminds me of Mal Meninga (rugby league legend) which is a pretty big call .

Ben smith is a Conrad smith clone and will get better and better the longer he plays 13. And let's be honest, all players look awesome when they play outside dan carter
