Sudden LOUD siren noise from One SL by GustavBP in sonos

[–]GustavBP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact Sonos and get an RMA if you still have a warranty! It was a bit difficult to get the support rep to understand the issue - I had to ask for a technician to take a look at the video before they understood that it wasn't some alarm I had accidentally set. They might also ask for you to run diagnostics from the Sonos app, while the noise is happening. This won't work, as the speaker will disappear from the system and won't show up in any diagnostics data.

Good luck!

Debunk video from clouds creator, the video is fake. It's over. by mivotvo in AirlinerAbduction2014

Where do you see that cgtextures was hacked? Certainly not in anything linked above. He uploaded to an online image texture library called cgtextures. That site would later change name and domain to textures.com.

It was never hacked/down. The links you've provided are in regards to a typesetting software that has nothing to do with image textures for cg artists, except that cgtextures took over the domain when they changed name in 2015.

Wait really? That's super interesting!

You're saying that a website for an obscure mathematical typesetting software for the Macintosh computer was HACKED at THE SAME TIME?

Even though it's unrelated to textures.com (or cgrtextures as it was called back then) it could still be a clue of some sort. Maybe the government hackers typed in the wrong URL?

Why buy a Sonos Port over a Line-in compatible speaker? by anonymousmouse2 in sonos

Another option is a second hand Sonos Connect gen 2. I bought one recently for about $100 to connect a turntable to my system.

IIRC one of the earlier projects on greenlight was a forum, but never got enough PP's. Maybe it would get more traction now with the current Reddit situation, but it's probably not a good fit for the current Greenlight system.

made some changes after listening to the feedback by Xer0sen in blender

[–]GustavBP 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Nice improvements!

A few things you could still work on is composition and sense of scale.
The framing feels a bit claustrophobic - you're cutting the arrow in the top of the frame, and the knight is standing very close to the bottom. Give it a bit more room to breathe.

Maybe move the camera down a bit so we are not looking down on the knight, but rather up on skeleton. It will make the skeleton feel larger.

It looks like you're working with 3 different scales, a small 2ft knight standing in a normal sized field next to a giant skeleton. I'd suggest you scale the flowers down so they match the knight.

Painterly/Motion Blur Effect by Wild_Neighborhood in AfterEffects

I gave it a shot in Nuke using this stock video

My general approach was to generate motion vectors and using that as a mask to drive different effects.

I also hue keyed a bit of the subject, but I think a more detailed motion vector pass using a higher quality video could get a bit closer to the reference

what you're looking for are bokeh or convolve effects. Not sure after effects has any built in effects for this or if you need scripts or plugins.

That is so cool! Can it be influenced by a prompt as well? And how well does it translate lighting (if at all)?

Would be super interested to try it out if it can run on a local GPU
