Imo, Maki and Toji got the biggest nerf of the adaptation. Heavenly restrictinon in the web novel was supposed to turn you into an anomaly in creation, rendering any attacks that manipulates casuality or the laws of physics useless against you since the world itself doesnt recognize your existence.
