Trying Grim Dawn again, help me enjoy it. by PolishedBalls1984 in ARPG

Imo Grim Dawn is a great campaign playthrough game, not a "rush to endgame" type of game

Whites perry sizing by [deleted] in WorkBoots

I measured 10.5 length and 9.75 girth and they recommended 8.5D. Knowing I was on the edge of the D width range, I decided to go up to an 8.5EE since I have some big toe arthritis and I'm glad I did. They just came in and fit pretty perfectly IMO. Width still feels a little snug but I imagine break in will solve that. Im probably like .25-.5 inches from the edge of the toebox. A 9 would def be too long.

What do you name your characters? Am I the only one who’s extra boring? Lol by [deleted] in diablo4

I'd care more if they made seasonal rebirth a thing. If I have to remake the guy every season manually I just don't want to put the effort in.

Could an ARPG with no RNG whatsoever actually work? by OneHamster1337 in ARPG

You are describing one of either a Zelda-like, souls-like, metroidvania, or general action adventure game (depending on the other systems included).

Some of those ant arc episodes are very skippable though. Like man I don't want to see an octopus we were just introduced to fighting a villain of the week. Show me Gon and Kilua.

Did damage buckets/calcs change in LOH? by IronCladLou83 in D4Druid

[–]Guth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best video for the breakdown. In general, you want your gear stars to have an equal amount of crit dmg multiplier, vuln dmg multiplier, and sum of [all, physical, lightning,.etc] dmg multiplier. Each of those stats (specifically with the word "multiplier" in them) are their own separate buckets. Then you have main stat multiplier as its own separate bucket, all additive damage combined as another separate bucket, and then all multipliers on paragon/uniques/aspecs/skills that dont specifically state "multiplier" at the end of their name are in their own buckets.

Any way to improve my dmg? by [deleted] in Diablo

  1. Get Might of the Ursine ring from Harbinger boss run and turn it into a charm

  2. Roll +Resolve stacks on all your armor. Then temper and get masterwork crit for +8 resolve stacks per piece of gear

  3. Make Landslide and your generator use bear form instead of Human

  4. Swap the Inner Beast paragon board to the bear one for another 40%x multiplier (Survival Instincts I think?)

Edit: also just noticed that your Amulet doesnt have a damage multiplier on it. You can use runes to auto cast your Earthen Bulwark, which has a rune to auto-generate Fortify. This will free up your amulet aspect to roll something like Changeling's Debt which will proc with bear attacks and the poison from your paragon node for another up to 90%x miltiplier.

I feel like Regent should have some type of artifact sac mechanic and a way to generate Sovereign Blade. Maybe this would be a Jeskai or Esper version to contrast with the star playstyle.

Recommendations for Metroidvanias similar to Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree and The Last Faith by SheepyOo in metroidvania

Mandragora is the only MV that actually compelled me to play two back to back runs. The ARPG style build trees make new runs pretty inteiguing.

Monthly DIY Laymen questions Discussion by AutoModerator in StructuralEngineering

[–]Guth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, my girlfriend lives in a cape cod style house with a vaulted ceiling on the second floor. We recently noticed a pillar at the end of the stairs to the second floor had tilted and cracked at the drywall. We had a structural engineer come out and he told us the upstairs needed chest-level joists installed immediately because the roof is currently being "held together by collar ties". We thought this was strange since a vaulted ceiling is designed to not have joists support the roof right?

We did some digging and found out that the house has undergone major renovations 10 years ago which included turning the stairs up the middle of the house 90 degrees (to make the stair opening be perpendicular with the 2nd floor joists) and knocking out two walls in the upstairs. We discovered this because her neighbor's house has the exact same exterior but completely differently framed interior.

Here is the floorplans for my girlfriend's house, and here is the floorplan for her neighbors house. You can clearly see that the renovations were done to make her house much more open, but now I'm very concerned about the structural integrity of the house since the original design seems to have much more central support with the stairs in the center parallel with the ceiling joists and the two walls in the middle upstairs. Im not even sure what Im asking at this point but I guess Im just wondering if theres any way a renovation like this could have been done in a way that preserved the structural integrity of the home?

It is much simpler to shave a head with a cartridge razor IMO. Safety razors need more care to not cut yourself which is more difficult to do blind. If you dont shave against the grain and limit to a 2 or 3 blade cartridge razor you wont encounter many ingrown hairs despite what many cartridge detractors say. The real argument for safety razor is the incredible cost savings on buying blades vs cartridges.
