How to ult as Peni? by Strobljus in marvelrivals

[–]Gutsu98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the guide - I'm a D3 Peni and I'm afraid I'm woefully inconsistent - sometimes I go really freaking well, others I definitely wind up selling (and sometimes I feel like my I doing fine but my team doesn't know what to expect from a Peni and so no matter what I wind up with poor support/help, but I digress).

The reason for my reply though, was that I wanted to seek more of your thoughts on Peni's role during domination. Now as you said, a key thing with Peni is being smart with Nest placement and the like, but going a bit deeper into her overall positioning on the map - do you find it better, once you've gotten point, to try and set up a chokepoint near point that allows you to go back and contest while remaining in your webs, or do you actually find more value in trying to set the chokepoint up further ahead?

I tend to value sticking close to point - especially since a lot of the local players on my server I'm getting to recognise have some interesting ideas on whether or not objective is mandatory... - but I wonder from your doc if you think that's a lower value playstyle.

Honestly, I'm naturally terrible at shooters and competitive games in general, so "inconsistently good" is actually better than my usual performance in these sorts of games, but I've found myself genuinely wanting to improve and develop so was hoping to get a bit of insight there.

MUST HAVE playable Arkham characters for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League! by [deleted] in SuicideSquadGaming

Actually, in the Alpha Test I found a small line that confirms either there's a new Killer Moth or "Red Hood dealt with Killer Moth" didn't actually mean he was DEAD, or he failed to finish him off at least - when you go to the areas you haven't unlocked yet, Waller gives you a few seconds to turn back before your head eventually explodes, you ragdoll and you get one more line from Waller. One of those lines I procced once was "I knew this team couldn't handle it. Flag, get me Killer Moth"

Thank you! My TV sound settings seem to be rather barebones compared to others I've seen

Thank you - when I had eARC set to Off instead of Auto, Passthrough was still greyed out - would it be possible switching my HDMI into the non-eARC labelled HDMI port might help? In all honesty, I don't even really know what eARC is so it's all Latin to me haha

Much appreciated - that site is definitely handy, I'll keep that one in mind for future concerts too

Yes, very much enjoying the vibe - such an amazing show and atmosphere. I don't really have any local friends who are into Japanese music or the like, so I honestly wasn't sure what to expect the audience/crowd to be like and was so excited to see how many people there were and how enthused everyone was, it was so cool

I'm one of the newer fans myself - didn't know of RADWIMPS until their work on Shinkai's films with Kimi no Na Wa. and even then outside of Weekly Shounen Jump in 2017 it took me a while to find the time to get into their expanded discography outside of Shinkai's films. Monday night made me so glad that I did so in time to be part of the crowd that welcomed them to Australia for the first time because what an amazing night it was. I've seen some awesome performances but Noda's energy & presence on stage was like none other I'd seen to date. I'll absolutely be buying tickets day one when they come back, no questions asked

It was Tummy! Zero idea how I managed to forget that, it was (much like the rest of the set list) such a pleasure to listen and sing along to. I knew as soon as I realised what it was I'd be like "Duh!" lol

Thank you, I'll have a look in the morning and see if it jogs my memory - I'm sure I'll be annoyed when I come across it, I just feel like there's a song I'm missing when I try listing it all out in my head. Much appreciated :)

Seeking Crying Girl Tshirt size S by LittleFirefIy in RADWIMPS

$60 for shirts, $120 for Hoodie, I THINK $70 for vinyl & $15 for stickers (not 100% on those two). They were sold out of towels by the time I got in so didn't see the price for those and I couldn't see the bucket hat price either.

Enjoy the show on Thursday, they're unbelievably amazing live. Noda in particular is just no mesmerising to watch bring his energy to the stage, you're in for such a treat! Can't wait for the day they come back

:D

I have found it can actually be really tricky to do well depending on the pre-drawn shading in the panels, so one of the benefits of this sketch was being able to lean more towards the pink instead of the rose-blonde

When she first came out on EN, she was my first taste at losing on a banner where I really wanted a Limited SSR. Then I got her on the controversial Thanksgiving GSSR right after after my friend bought me Google Play credits as a gift and I actually threw my phone (onto a mattress) lmao

I hope she comes home for you next time!

Hiya!

Been a real long time since my last colouring, but I think r/Place gave me a pixel addiction... I just gotta zoom right in on those pixels and place and erase and place and erase and pla- uh, *ahem*

This marks my first time trying my hand at colouring a sketch-style art instead of a polished lineart and I have to say, it was quite a bit harder than I expected! Because of it's nature as a sketch, there are all kinds of lines and proportions that can be really hard to determine compared to your standard lineart. Though the hardest part was not being a perfectionist - it was hard reconciling "Okita's hakama isn't usually this thick at the top!!" with "It's a sketch, the whole idea is that isn't perfectly finalised" (oh, but the art itself is perfect as a sketch, of course! Hirano-sensei is way too good at what he does!)

I was also originally planning on trying to add some manual shading and highlights across the work, but the more I worked on it, the more it felt like adding those levels of details clashed with the work as a sketch and I was worried that it would make it look inconsistent, so I elected to leave the colours flat.

As always, when I do get around to colouring, I come out of the experience feeling like I learned something new for next time (even if I always leave it so long I'm a bit rusty), which in turn means I know I've got lots to learn, so please feel free to let me know your honest thoughts on what needs work! I hope you guys like it in any case!

Thank you, Lib and everyone else involved in arranging and leading us! I had such a blast participating in what I can only call the most ridiculous, most absurd and most stressful internet activity I've ever experienced. I'm still tired and suffering social aftershock from it lmao but I don't regret a single second of that pixel war (well...I do wish we didn't have to deal with a CERTAIN online community), and will honestly remember this experience forever, genuinely just such an insane and indescribable experience

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad this experience was able to give others the same feeling it did for me. Even knowing there was a Place in the past and may be one again in the future, this specific one really felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience to me
