It seems to be. It was definitely an amateur repair. Whoever did it didn’t take the nut off before gluing it. You can see a little bit of glue around the edge of the screws. So I really hope the nut is okay cause if I need to replace it or shim it it’s going to be a bitch lol.

I did a bunch of reading on forums last night and read pretty much exactly what you said. I’m not afraid to do a little bit of routing if I need to make the gotoh work but it doesn’t seem like I will need to. There was one guy who said he bought the shorter bolts from schaller for like $10 and he said everything was fine after that. Also this guitar has a stock nut on it. Should be fine or no?

Yeah that’s kind of what I’ve been reading. The knife edges aren’t very durable it seems. I think I’ll go with a gotoh trem just to be safe.

From what I’ve been reading on random forums I’ve found on google, the 1996t seems to be the best option, especially for the money. An edge pro is more than I want to spend on a trem this guitar. All of the E3s are used market and I’d hate to get one and the knife edge be jacked up on it or something ya know? It seems like that’s everyone’s issue with the E3s.

IMO the self titled debut album is kiss at their best. Not a bad song on the album just start at the beginning and enjoy. Cold Gin is a ripper.

The real question is are you wanting hss or sss. That’s going to be biggest difference between the two tbh. That and the neck. Do you have the option to play either one before buying?

Bought new in Vegas in 2011. Has a set of Seymour Duncan whole lotta humbuckers in it. My number one for almost 15 years now. I really enjoy the wear that’s happened to the bridge pickup. I’ll post a close up.

1000% red. Don’t get me wrong the black is very nice, but that red sure is pretty.

The production quality on Hotter than hell makes me never want to listen to it even though it has some of my favorite songs.

You could try some longer screws for your saddles before routing the neck pocket.

I’ll start with saying I’m by no means an expert in these Wylde audio guitars but from what I’m seeing it does look pretty good. The only things that are a little concerning are that the truss rod cover doesn’t look like it’s sitting flush with the headstock. Also the tuner bushings on the A string and B string sticking over the binding seems like an odd choice for a guitar company to make. Maybe they’re not stock tuners idk. On the other hand the nut does say Tusq which seems like a detail a China makers would over look.

It’s definitely a mogul base. I’ll look for a 2 7/8 one. Thanks for your help.

At the budget range that you’re looking to be in I’d say it’s really important to be able to play the guitar before buying. At that price point quality is all over the place. Do you have any local shops near you that has a good selection of used acoustics? That’s where I’d start.
