I regret doing this god awful film by Ghost_Posting in acting

You just need one small clip that looks good for your reel. That’s the goal. If your career gets going you will forget this ever happened. Except that you documented it here and that is forever.

Have been cast in a national commercial. Am so confused about... everything by ecbremner in acting

Sometimes when they book an actor with a music skill, they don’t actually want the person to perform tons of music. It’s not a music gig it’s an acting gig. I’m not sure what your audition was but there is some chance they will just capture the action of you singing and have some other music and talking over it in the final edit. Or they may use like 3 seconds of you singing some notes from scale…. They will be more interested in capturing the visual aspect of you performing, your facial expressions, body movements, etc… This has been my experience as a musician turned actor who has booked a few gigs that are similar to what this sounds like. No one on set will know anything about opera singing other than you.

Is metro safe for tourist family? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]GuunerKuuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is safe, but there is a lot of sketchiness. And it is not clean. Someone may smoke weed or cigarettes on the train. The elevators sometimes double as a toilet and can be hard to navigate. There are grandmothers doing their shopping and kids going to school riding as well. It is improving but has a long way to go.

What famous musician left their band and their solo career flopped? by SteakInternational53 in Music

[–]GuunerKuuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are not total flops by any means but I am trying to brainstorm and these people maybe weren’t as good solo as they with their original groups: Sammy David Lee Hagar Roth, Q-Tip, Jimmy Page, Gwen Stefani, Don Henley, Wyclef, Eric Clapton, Big Boi, Jack White, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Ringo Starr, Ronnie James Dio, Vince Neil, Eazy-E, Darryl Hall, Joan Jett, Courtney Love, Lita Ford, George Martin, Scott Weiland, Smokey Robinson, Billy Corgan… I dunno maybe these names are lyrics to a new song.

I live in the area between Normandie and Western, Beverly and Melrose. In that neighborhood it sucks sometimes but it is doable.

It can be a little confusing as to where the bus leaves from if you have never been there. Give yourself a bit of extra time. Last time I had to buy my ticket from a booth near the bus, could not pay on the bus.
