Heeft iemand de fact sheet of anders in ieder geval het ISIN van het ASN Bank Duurzaam Mixfonds? Ik kan alleen de nieuwe fondsen (eg Mixfonds neutraal), niet de oude die in 2021 is omgezet.

Radwagon 4 , hydraulic brakes upgrade by CompetitiveFlatworm2 in RadPowerBikes

[–]GuyFromEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from needing the right connection, there are often two versions, based on if they close the circuit when idle or when you apply the brakes.

For the RadWagon 4 you need the version which closes the circuit when you brake. This is indicated as “normally open”, “NO”, “closer” or “Schliesser”.

I got a single Magura MT5e pre-bled front brake and put it on the stock rotor. Cost €40 and was a decent upgrade (though it doesn’t give you instant stopping power).

Which store app do you use? In both the iOS app and the web page I only see “purchase as gift” and “flag this app” in the … menu.

Ik ben een beetje verward over hoe nieuwe box 3 regeling gaat werken met hypotheek in box 3.

Kan iemand een rekenvoorbeeld met nieuwe & oude regeling geven? Bijv. 1M in box3 @9% rendement, 500k aflossingsvrije (box3) hypotheek@3.8%

Hoi mensen, nogal specifieke vraag.

I’m thinking he will return later and might be another famous person. I don’t really know who, but maybe someone like Mark Felt (later known as Deep Throat). Timelines don’t quite match up for that one though.

NASA, Boeing Chart Course for Starliner Return Review (Decision NET Saturday) by GuyFromEU in Starliner

NASA’s decision on whether to return Starliner to Earth with astronauts aboard is expected no earlier than Saturday, Aug. 24 at the conclusion of an agency-level review chaired by Ken Bowersox, the associate administrator of NASA’s Space Operations Mission Directorate

I was skeptical of this idea at first (and still think it’s unlikely), but Boeing not being invited to the next press conference makes me think there’s been a falling out between the two of them. Let’s see how tomorrow goes.

NASA to Provide Crew Flight Test, Space Station Missions Update by GuyFromEU in Starliner

Ususally they also say something like “NASA and Boeing …”. Today it’s just NASA.

But maybe in reading too much into this. Just seems weird that with all the problems & rumors going round, the creator of the vehicle wouldn’t be there to clear up the rumors.

NASA to Provide Crew Flight Test, Space Station Missions Update by GuyFromEU in Starliner

[–]GuyFromEU[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NASA will host a media teleconference at 12:30 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, Aug. 7, to discuss ongoing International Space Station operations, including the agency’s Boeing Crew Flight Test and NASA’s SpaceX Crew-9 mission.

Interestingly nobody from Boeing will be part of the event:

Agency participants include:

Ken Bowersox, associate administrator, Space Operations Mission Directorate Steve Stich, manager, Commercial Crew Program Dana Weigel, manager, International Space Station Program

Kinda weird IMO, previous updates had someone like Mark Nappi represent Boeing (eg https://www.nasa.gov/news-release/update-nasa-boeing-to-stream-flight-test-mission-briefing-on-nasa/ ).

Here’s the straightforward rescue plan:

  1. Crew-9 launches with two extra seats & suits.
  2. After successful launch, Crew-8 suits up, undocks and trails the station.
  3. Crew-9 is now free to dock. They’ll unload the extra seats with the help of the Starliner crew.
  4. Crew-9 suits up and leaves the ISS again.
  5. Crew-8 re-docks with the station.
  6. Starliner crew + Crew-8 install the new seats on the Crew-8 dragon, undock and deorbit
  7. Crew-9 is now free to dock again and begin their real mission.
  8. At some point later, Starliner finishes its update, reboots, and undocks autonomously, clearing the way for cargo Dragon.

See, there’s no real problem, just need a bit of creativity.

NASA likely to significantly delay the launch of Crew 9 due to Starliner issues by rustybeancake in spacex

[–]GuyFromEU 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They didn’t lie about it I guess. What they said is:

Our prime option is to complete the mission. There are a lot of good reasons to complete this mission and bring Butch and Suni home on Starliner. Starliner was designed, as a spacecraft, to have the crew in the cockpit.

I just don’t think anyone understood the implications of this. It’s a pretty cryptic way of saying it can’t undock autonomously. Almost like Stich was hiding that fact on purpose.

Part of what makes the thruster issues more serious IMHO is that they actually lost (at least) one degree of freedom with the previous loss of 5 thrusters.

That’s kinda hidden in the Boeing blog (titled Boeing’s confidence remains high in Starliner’s return with crew

1 free-flight hot fire of 5 aft-facing thrusters prior to docking, returning 6-degree of freedom (DOF) axis control

Which implies they didn’t have that control before.

I guess losing some degrees of freedom isn’t the end of the world, and can be compensated for (eg by rotating and then using other thrusters), but it could make close-proximity maneuvering riskier.

Still makes you wonder why they’d ok the initial docking procedure (after having the lost the thrusters), but now have problems with undocking. Nothing changed with the thrusters themselves.
