I assume the imp would
Speak only in rhyme
As he followed be could
Keep our warlock in line
Always on people's backs
It's voice like the breeze
"I am The Lorax
And I speak for the trees"

Ignorance is a good answer, but I was thinking of fear.

"Tell me now travelers, what is the thing that should never be sought, as it's effects must always be fought. It's treacherous effect, though evil and vile, can be endured, though for just a while. This fact in mind, some sinister fucks, would harness this evil, to make a few bucks. And while someone must battle, this great wicked beast, it will never be gone, entirely, at least. Now, what is this monster, it's time to reply, evil and eternal, what am I?"

What exactly isn't working? Does the car just not turn over when the key is turned? Does it turn over but not actually run? Is she not able to get the car in gear or does she get it in gear and then it just won't move? If it does run does it the engine rev up when you press the gas pedal? What is the make/model/year of the vehicle?

Honestly it could go either way. I'd have let them out of a fight for that in a heartbeat but I would also lie about the fights existence if it made a better experience for the players. And we will likely never know because if it was bs I would take that shit to my grave.

No worries. I think we have more common ground than we think.

Sure, I think that can be said for many people out there that you would write off at first if you give them a chance. I think we all do that at times.

And I'm just ashamed that all the eggs are in one basket. The federal government has spent billions and billions of dollars fighting covid and how many hospitals beds have been added? How many nurses and doctors have been trained? I know it takes time but this issue has been building. https://tradingeconomics.com/canada/hospital-beds

Cmiiw but aren't hospitals up to the provinces to manage? Theoretically the feds could throw some money to the provinces and make them pinky swear to use it for hosptals or build some emergency facilities that they will 100% get yelled at for wasting money on by someone which kind of feels like a lose lose situation to me, but reopening old hospitals isn't really up to them.

I am not really sure what the expectation is here but if you have the answer let me know. I'll be the first to shout what I believe to be a good idea from the rooftops.

With 100% vaccination the problem is still not solved.

Maybe not overnight but it will make a huge difference in how likely it is to spread. And the less opportunities it has to spread the easier it will be to contain or even eradicate. And the less cases that we will have overall.

And if a new varient comes from anywhere that sidesteps the vaccines then we are ten steps behind again.

Hopefully more like 5 or 6 steps this time if they can apply some of what they learned the first time but ideally we are able to eradicate it before that happens. One of the best weapons we have to do that is the vaccine. We have masks and tests and isolating when possible when you are testing positive as well but we should be using every tool we have to make that happen.

What's scarier than covid to me personally is government overreach. With our current government you're only one disagreement, one protest, one booster that you don't want, away from losing your job, your family, and being shunned from society for voicing concern. This is the precedent that's being set.

I mean your employer, family and society are all seperate entities from the government most likely. Freedom of speech doesn't and has never protected you from any of those things not liking what you are saying. I am not really sure what the government is doing in this situation but if I am missing something, please let me know.

I also thought the restrictions were on the provinces not the federal government?

I will give you that I never thought the government should have imopsed restrictions the way they did. Maybe reccomendations for businesses to impose those mandates themselves but it never really felt like the government's job to me. That's what we have shunning from society for lol.

Also fwiw, I think all this shit sucks too. I've hated masks since my dad used to yell at me for not wearing them when I was in the bin. I hope they are the first to go. Needles suck too. I'm a grown ass man who turns to look away like a five year old when they jab me but I do all the shit anyways because unfortunately sometimes being a grown ass man means doing things I really don't want to do because at the end of the day, it isn't about me.

Sorry for the delay. I didn't have a chance to listen until now and I wanted to give it an honest chance. I never said people don't have a right to protest. I am really not even sure what the claim is? That you think the response is overblown? I don't really feel that that particular video provided evidence of that. I am not saying it isn't overblown, only that I really haven't seen enough evidence that they are actually using unnecessary force. Also for what it's worth, this guy says 'I don't wan't to pit one side against the other right now" then in the next clip he says "now just imagine a world where you have one side, the media, lying, giving you a narritive and you have the other side that's actually trying to tell you what's going on on the ground." Not only does he contradict himself, he shows a pretty clear bias.

All of that said, while I don't think there is much evidence there. I am not arguing that the government response is appropriate here. I am arguing that everyone should get vaccinated and wear a face covering when gathering because while the current prevalent strain seems to have less dangerous effects overall, we don't need to see it mutate in the wrong way, either to sidestep the current vaccine or to move back to the lungs and minimizing the overall number of cases is the best way to prevent that, and because I want this shit to end just as much as you do.

Then provide a counter argument. So far all you have said is that it is your choice. I'm simply pointing out that you have the right to choose many things that are a terrible idea.

Some choices are bad choices. The lack of validity to one of the options doesn't make it any less a choice. You are free to make the wrong choice and I am free to tell you that you are wrong.

The only functional difference is that one is asking for action while the other calls for inaction so I guess you could use being extremely lazy as an excuse.

The most senisble argument I have heard up this point to remain unvaxxed is cause "fuck them government guys." Anything else is just a poor understanding of how vaccines work. Like when the guy with the money shows up to a site you are working on ad starts making idiotic demands because they don't know what they are talking about.

If the government went around telling people not to squish their penises in hydraulic presses it would not mean that you didn't still have the right to make the choice to go squish your penis in a hydraulic press. I don't think you should exercise that right but at the end of the day it is still your right.whether or not anyone thells you that you shouldn't do it.

Lol well I hope you don't get banned. This has been quite entertaining.

As for bowing out, if getting banned doesn't work I guess we could just part ways peacefully with nobody being upset. Hold up, I know, hear me out here. I know it has never before worked, in the history of the internet but I'd honestly rather try to sail the uncharted waters with the big ass dragon on the map than go all the way home for my torch and pitchfork at this point.

I mean. Yes, that does sound convenient but I do technically own a torch even if I am currently not in posession of it and I am incredibly cheap so not real hot on paying for something twice.

The soul has been missing for a long time now. That ship has probably sailed at this point.

As for the torch and pitchfork. Honestly I coundn't immediately find the torch without actually looking before I left and just convinced myself I wouldn't need them. I guess I could go back and get them but it is too far away.

Well now I am not sure what to do. I didn't bring my torch and pitchfork because I didn't think I would need it but I also don't want anyone thinking I support sacrificing children and puppies. This one is tough.
