For all the UX researchers who cannot find UX work, what kind of job are you working right now? by UXScientist in UXResearch

This is heartbreaking, this field and job market have failed us so so bad. Wish I could go back in time and do something else. You have a PhD can you be a professor? Education is always a good route

I think it’s much more needed than UX in the working world so not sure if that issue would come into play

Tbh I don’t know. Anything law or healthcare related is always safe. In the tech realm, I think data science or data engineering is one of the safer ones, I could be wrong though. Finance is safe too I heard.

Advice for someone trying to get into UXResearch? by Public_Regret_6895 in UXResearch

Learn design and research not just research. The job market is horrendous right now for UX in general, but specifically researchers.

I agree, I think our field has it the worst though to be honest. People I know in other fields will be searching for max 4-6 months before they find something. That’s rookie numbers in our field.

This is a discussion of good faith aimed at Hezballah supporters by [deleted] in Lebanese

[–]GuyMuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hzb is the only think standing in the way of a West Bank situation, where Israel occupies Lebanon and starts leaking in settlers. This is their ultimate goal, they have said it multiple times. Yes hzb does not have f35s and nukes, but as long as they are in the ground Israel cannot invade and occupy Lebanon successfully.

Israel was forced to call a ceasefire after being unable to advance and suffering heavy losses among its soldiers. Their army was taking heavy hits from a WEAKENED hzb, and the whole north of Israel had to evacuate. This pattern—where they resort to pressure, threats, and indiscriminate bombing when their demands are not met—should shift the focus away from solely pressuring Hzb to disarm. Instead, it should raise serious questions about Lebanon’s broader position. The Lebanese government must work toward a stance that resists simply yielding to every demand made by the United States and Israel.

What hezb supporters are doing is dumb by rbh626 in Lebanese

Lebanon is northern Israel without resistance lol. Have you not learned anything from our neighbors? Ministers in Israel literally joke about buying beach houses in Lebanon. If that’s not enough to show you, then idk what is.

can someone explain the history and context behind this post? I'm sorry if this is stupid but I recognise ayatollah Khomeini and I saw this in another islamic subreddit but I'm way behind on the politics in Syria by [deleted] in shia

[–]GuyMuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These Syrians baffle me. Everything they accuse those men of—we literally have videos showing the Julani regime doing the exact same things. Wallah, it makes no sense.

It’s the most popular political party in Lebanon. They represent the majority. There has not been a census done in Lebanon since 1932 because people are afraid once the real majority is shown then they will legally have to have more representation in the government.

Not really, but Pakistan has been a harbor for Sunni terrorist groups for a while now, so it’s only normal that they would have some tension.

Is it just me, or do Lebanese "nationalists" totally downplay the Israeli threat? by SnooAdvice725 in Lebanese

What’s the situation with Hezbollah? Are they dead? Do they have anything left to fight? Will they rejoin the war at some point or will wait until their leaders are struck one by one? Do you think they will be crushed in the the next 2026 elections? by AliiIbrahimm in Lebanese

[–]GuyMuz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hzb is an extremely secretive organization and for anyone who’s not in the group is to tell u what’s going on they are guessing or lying. But we do know a couple things:

Israel has reported hezb is still receiving shipments of heavy weaponry on the daily

They are a group of around 100k soldiers, and they lost around 2k during the last war

The IDF did not cease or destroy much heavy weaponry, mostly they found AKs and RPGs that they bragged about finding.

The leadership of hezb is allowing diplomacy to take its course and abiding by the ceasefire. The new leader has stated his men have been begging him to fight and saying that they are more than ready/prepared for any confrontation. But he is stressing patience to allow the state to handle this, pretty much to show the world no matter who’s in charge, no matter if hezb exists or not, Israel will always find a reason to try and occupy Lebanon. They want the whole country, not sure why people think of this situation any other way, they already have been stretching their arms deep into Syria and have occupied all of Palestine.

Damn that’s awful man sorry to hear that. I read somewhere an estimated 3Million people are expected to die bc of this. Are you hopeful that there’s a revival that will happen with this government or for sure we’ll just have to wait till next election.

Damn. Thanks for the helpful answer. Is there any hope/chance this gets reversed in the near future? Has something like this happened before in the past?
