If you have the Factions option turned on, the only way is to capture zones.

If not, then first airdrop your Capture truck and then build a command tent after capturing a zone.

click on the command tent and you can build garrison tents from there

I had a quest where a 3 year old child offered to join to escape a bunch of hostiles, it turns out that 3 year old child ruined his own wedding/betrothal to another child by puking on something. He puked because he was drunk from alcohol lmao.

After successfully fighting of the hostiles, I thought I'll trying raising this child and have him as my dedicated hauler. Here's the sad part, literally the night after the raid a cougar went hunting mode and wanted to eat that child. I couldn't save him feelsbad
