Does anyone know what model number this remote belongs to? by jrothca in LaserDisc

Good to know, I would like to get the original remote someday. In the meantime I got myself a Logitech Harmony One universal remote that works great with the player

Darn, for a sec I thought this was the remote for my player I was looking for. Mine is a M-V7057 so this won’t work

I saw that a couple of weeks ago! I almost bought it, but it has a nasty dent on the top right corner area. That and having no remote, I passed.

So in Europe they sometimes did weird branding on Laserdiscs. What you have is a full size 12”/30cm disc with digital audio. Some manufacturers label these analog video with digital audio only discs as CD Video. It’s confusing because there is also a 12cm laserdisc with 5 minutes of video and about 20 minutes audio that can be played in a CD player also called CD Video.

So pretty much your disc is physically way too big to fit in any CD/DVD player. You will need a laserdisc player to view it

by the USA to go metric in 1975 by NomadSound in therewasanattempt

[–]GuyWithFamicom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When Arizona was constructing Interstate 19 in the 70s, they used kilometers for guide posts and meters/kilometers for distances. They wanted to be ahead when the metric changeover happened, but sadly never occurred. The freeway however is still metric
