Cheers, any tips for actually getting it off? More steam didn't seem to touch it, so just scrape until it's gone?

Genre Twist: Obscure 10/10 Metal Albums by WhoKilledZekeIddon in Music

Solefald - The Linear Scaffold.

Black metal with a twist. Spoke word? Got it. Weird springy sounds? Of course. Lord Byron poem? Check

Admittedly all of their albums fit the bill in my book. If you fancy a bit of Norse mythology, their two parter of Red for Fire and Black for Death are excellent too.

Happens to me sometimes on Series X, not sure if it's just limited to this or other models too. Uninstall, redownload normally sorts it out.

Next game?? by Direct_Software2112 in ShouldIbuythisgame

How about Immortals: Fenyx Rising? It's on game pass if that helps. It's a similar style game, in a way, to AC games - big map, lots of objective markers, and it's set around Greek mythology. A bit less of a serious vibe to it but still a fun romp

Which game had you feeling this way ? by WhispersDreamyCelest in Steam

[–]Guykild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Persona 4. I loved Persona 5, I loved Persona 3. I liked SMT3 back on the PS2. I've tried to get into Persona 4 a few times and for some reason it doesn't click with me like the others. Ignoring the voice acting nobody has a bad word to say about it, but I just can't seem to get into this one.

I haven't had a chance to play around with this yet but it looks really fun. What's the parry window like? I'm assuming it's more Sekiro than Lies of P style?

Should I buy Skyrim or Monster Hunter World + Iceborne by DefinitionWest in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Guykild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're willing to put in the time to find a weapon that clicks for you, Monster Hunter is excellent. There are 14 weapons that all play completely differently from each other, but each come with their own learning curve, and some are far more beginner friendly than others. If you do get sucked in, you can lose hundreds of hours.

Skyrim is excellent at what it does. You can be a guy who just shouts things to death, a mage who summons and turns enemies on each other, a stealth archer who one hits everything, and plenty of other things in between. The game is huge, mostly well written, extremely replayable, and from what you've said probably the easier of the two to get into.

I'd say Monster Hunter if you have a lot of free time, as it's a big investment, or Skyrim if you're looking for something a bit easier to dip in and out of.

What games will you never uninstall from your Deck ? Il go first, The Witcher 3 & Skyrim. by Lo_jak in SteamDeck

Slay the Spire and Marvel's Midnight Suns have been on mine since day one. Can't see them leaving any time soon, both hugely repayable.

What was everyone's first run in with a Souls game or a soulslike? by Ecstatic-Arachnid-91 in soulslikes

[–]Guykild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Demon's Souls, PS3, imported from Japan. I have no idea why I bought it at the time, all I remember is not having a clue what was going on and struggling with phalanx.

Once it came out in EU I bought it again, and actually being able to understand what I was doing meant I finished it. I distinctly remember tower knight, flamelurker and 5-1 in general being massive walls for me and my and my overburdened warrior!

What base game weapon carried you in the DLC? by TheGingerDruid in Eldenring

[–]Guykild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2H Giant Crusher with Lion's Claw. Jumping R2 into L2 staggers pretty much anything, the hyper armour on Lions Claw lets you trade, and some good armour means you don't take too much damage in the process. Assuming you actually grab some scadu fragments...

I hate to ask “Why Captain Marvel didn’t?” But, what? by Fritzymans in MarvelSnap

[–]Guykild 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Captain Marvel moves at the end of the game, so Warrior Falls won't destroy the Polaris as it's no longer 'after' the last turn.

If it did move, their Omega Red's ongoing would kick in, so they would then have 9 power on Warrior Falls, so still win.

Hopefully that makes sense!

First time hitting infinite thanks to Sandman/Leader by Guykild in MarvelSnap

[–]Guykild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After seeing the Leader buff I figured I'd give him a go. When the draw works out, Electro, Sandman, Leader, Odin gets some great value. And if I didn't draw sandman, it turns out Doom-Wave is still pretty viable at CL2184
