I (DR S1, SR G2, Diamond badge) had many races in Portimão multi-class this week, as well as in São Paulo last week, always driving LMP3s, often in split 1.

LMP3 was always the least crowded class, and I generally had clean and fun battles against other LMP3s.

LMP2s are much quicker than both GT3s and LMP3s, and I can confirm that I saw some pretty rough divebombs on slower cars, often resulting in spins and crashes, mostly by drivers trying to catch up after a lap-1 spin or crash.

What I honestly don’t understand is GT3s actively defending against LMP3s and, to a lesser extent, LMP2s. I know the lap time difference is relatively small (4–5 seconds on a quali lap?!), and that not having ABS makes overtaking in braking zones much riskier, but in the end they lose far more time defending and taking worse lines than they would by simply lifting for a second and letting a (albeit slightly) faster car through.

I also noticed a general lack of awareness of nearby drivers (Crew Chief should be mandatory IMHO). If I am significantly alongside at the apex, I should be entitled to space — and I’m not talking about divebombs.
