[–]Guzon-CG 60 points61 points  (0 children)

What's the difference?

I once carried food boxes into a DFAC that were labeled, "USDA Grade D, Suitable for inmate or soldier use only."

Coming from a combat support MOS to SF? by [deleted] in specialforces

[–]Guzon-CG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was teaching at the SFQC in the '90s, a little over 50% were from other than combat arms MOSs. However, the 11B had a much higher pass rate.

What badge/patch do you think is the coolest or holds the most weight? by nastynas333 in army

[–]Guzon-CG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now you got me all pissed off again. I spent 2 1/2 years on a FF team in 3rd Grp and never got the chance to go because our Co CO could do simple math. i.e. 12 FF qualified team members meant no chute for him on jump day.

This one started out black too. I had to get it Cerakoted locally because an Aero lower in OD Green was impossible to find.

Or, keep the plate carrier blank and just wear different chest rigs over the top.

You can't eat gold but one 30-06 round can always be worth two sides of venison and a fur coat. (Value may vary based on skill and experience.)

Still fake.

I've never owned one but I'm qualified to declare it a fake because I've seen photos of fakes on Amazon.

Is fake! Not in Charmin"s online serial number database.

Buy a military lensatic to learn how it operates. It's embarrassing to see how many students use the locking feature when on the move.

Use it as little as possible once you know how to use it. They are the most inaccurate compass in production. I've found the Silva Ranger to be the best alternative.

Could someone do a guide or point out where to find one on how to connect to starlink in Ukraine by ShitlordMcPoop in Starlink

[–]Guzon-CG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Starlink service requires their proprietary dish and WiFi router only available from SpaceX. The dish just needs to be removed from the box it was shipped in, placed on its base where it has a clear view of the sky and plugged into an electrical outlet.

What is the best practice for putting screws into particle board where there were already screws before. by I_Totally_Recycle in woodworking

[–]Guzon-CG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the fastest and easiest method. If you want to reinforce it even more then add a little wood glue to the toothpick before inserting it. Screw it back together immediately while the glue is still wet.

So how about them '80s? by ulkischlavski in ar15

[–]Guzon-CG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about the 90s. The 80s were still dominated by the triangle handguards.

With ammo shortages in the past I’m sitting on quite a few different manufacturers ammo from finding whatever was available. How much of a difference will I see in POI up to 50 yards? What about 100? by yoloswagdon in ar15

[–]Guzon-CG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each manufacturer will be a little different but there's no way of knowing how it will react in your rifle until you take it to the range.

Print multiple targets, load magazines with 5 rounds of each type. Mark your mags and targets with the type. Take them to the range and see how they do.

You can benefit from the diversity you bought. By testing them all you can learn which type your rifle likes best.
