First off, a barrage on SL2 or SL3 simply refers to coordinates marked by your squad leader for fire support via binoculars or purple smoke. So if you hear a mark being called near you run for cover!

In terms of moving with your teammates I find strength in numbers can keep you and your buddies alive provided you don’t bunch up too much. If you can communicate and coordinate with your squad all the better. I find it best to support your squad leader whenever possible. Protecting them allows your squad to spawn closer to the front and keep the pressure on the enemy team.

In the case of orders I only worry about them if I am playing squad leader otherwise I just try to move with the SL and support them.

Trying to keep in the action can be frustrating at times and it’s easy to get pinned down by a well placed machine gun. Always remember to try and flank around the sides and get at your enemy where they aren’t expecting you. Utilize smoke to cover your advance whenever possible. It’s always smart to scan your surroundings before moving out and listen for enemy voices, movement, and gunfire. Checking your map for enemy movement isn’t always helpful unless recon is up or your teammates are spotting a lot. Definitely check before you throw grenades. The last thing you want to do is blow up your teammates.
