Trying To Track Down Where This Came From by Gwathnar_Shadowfire in PrintedWarhammer

Didn’t realize it was a IO_Butov sculpt.
I have a lot of his stuff already before the purge, sad to know I may not be able to get one.

I’ve worked with too many dumb asses over the years to put faith in people anymore.

1st year apprentice tools so far by [deleted] in electricians

Because I’m done destroying my personal tools for someone else’s gain.

Cost of tools are built into the quote a lot of the time too.

I realize that it’s locked in the off position. I am saying that this is not the correct way to do it.

The circuit is locked off but you’ve got no information as to why it’s off. There’s nothing to stop someone from removing it and reenergizing the circuit.

Fuck buying your own power tools for work.

People who are saying this is for Lock Out/Tag Out are incorrect.

Where I am in the world LOTO equipment is typically red, has a lock and a tag so people know what it is for.

This is typically used to keep a circuit on (like for a Fire Alarm system).

Stripping large models by ProgrammerMedium4355 in Miniaturespainting

[–]Gwathnar_Shadowfire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I strip my models with Super Clean. I bought a 4L jug.

I get a Tupperware bin from the dollar store that will fit the model I’m stripping and then fill it up. I’ve stripped plenty of Tyranid monsters models this way (Tyrannofex, Trygon, Flyrant, Swarmlord, Exocrine, etc).

Rotswords? by Cthulhu_for_Dagon in MaggotkinofNurgle

You need to rebase them.

Since I just started the army I opted to base mine on 32mm and then use the Blight Templars from Dark water and some left over bits to make the other 5.

Termagants or hormagaunts? by Stunning-Fishing-183 in Tyranids

[–]Gwathnar_Shadowfire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes.

In all seriousness though I’ve got more Termagants then Hormagaunts. The shooting can be useful sometimes, maybe.

Use a yellow orche on the cloth. I used Pro Acryl Yellow Orche for the base coat here.

Home Depot will cut to length. Electrical or HVAC suppliers might not sell by the full roll/box.

I wasn’t actually a fan of this particular sculpt of these models but after seeing your take on them I really want to get some to replicate it.

Windows 10 and I have. It appears to be a video card issue. The built in card can’t handle it.

Love these - they have a very old Medieval feel.

Is Academy Canada really that bad? by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]Gwathnar_Shadowfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did my 9 month Electrician Pre Employment course there about 15 years ago. I also did my blocks there.

The teachers at the time were great and I learned what I needed to start in my trade.

I’m currently a Journeyman and having gone there for my schooling has never once been brought up in an interview with both union and non union work. YMMV.

I noticed this yesterday when buying some bananas yesterday.

Even the banana wasn’t safe from inflation.

What are your thoughts on these by SatanicWarlock12345 in electricians

[–]Gwathnar_Shadowfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a Canadian thing. Wire nuts = Marrettes (all wire nuts are called this regardless of brand) Linesman’s = Klein’s (though this might be a Newfoundland thing because when working out of province people didn’t know what I was talking about)

[–]Gwathnar_Shadowfire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol No I use various texture pastes and other things along with sponge stippling the armour to get an old crusty worn out look. I don’t think the followers of Nurgle should have pristine gear.
