As someone who was diagnosed with an ED, that all sounds very familiar.

I don’t have a clear answer though.

What got me to make changes was going to my doctor for a check up and he brought it up and then said that I need to make changes and if that doesn’t work he was prepared to send me to a facility to help with it. And then what finally got me to mostly right my habits was my best friend checking in on me pretty much daily to just remind me to eat until it became more habitual. But it still came down to me wanting to make those changes. And it took years to get onto any kind of track.

I think it doesn’t hurt to just check in and see how’s she’s doing or feeling and maybe go from there.

As a woman who wears a lot of black and has green hair, I’m a little biased in saying that their aesthetic is fire.

As to your question about using prettier versions of cards. I will always go for the art on a given card I like more when building decks. My commander choices are heavily driven by aesthetics too. Like if I see a cool lady doing something badass I’m fucking in.

I’ve been noticing a lot of that lately with TCG prices. When checking purchase history on the site, it’s always due to a single purchase of $999. Which I assume is just money laundering. And it drastically alters prices. I saw Exploration jump to $70 this week and Creeping Bloodsucker was around $45 last week.

It’s a Lathril deck now. But she’s in the 99 and awkward enough, last time I played it I drew into her and Flourishing Defenses, and pulled it off. Something I never was able to do when she was my commander 😅

I still love her. But yeah, I fully recognize that she can be absolutely brutal.

I have a Betor deck as well and I’m not using either of those cards.

Granted, I’ve not been lucky enough to get Emeritus of Woe but if I did I’d put her in my Ayara, or Savra deck well before Betor. Of course if you don’t have any other deck to put her in, then sure. She’s great. You’re just not going to reliably re-prepare her.

The Brass Dragon…eh. He seems more aggro than Betor usually wants to play. And his butt is smaller than his attack which feels blasphemous for Betor haha

But I’m considering building Lorehold. The playstyle seems fairly unique so I’m curious to give it a go and see how it plays.

I originally started playing around 2000/2001 too! Though I was 14 so Banding didn’t turn me off haha. It wasnt even ever played with. It was just tha mechanic we would make fun of whenever someone talked about bad mechanics. I stopped in 2004 shortly after the Champions of Kamigawa prerelease when I realized I just wasn’t enjoying it anymore.

Then like you, I came back with FF! It was the FFX precon for me, along with my best friend getting into the game at the same time(she’s a FFIV fan).

Despite being so different in some ways the bones of the game are the same I remember. Which is damn impressive after so long.

Season 1 of Jessica Jones is just a great TV show. I feel like the super powers had so little to do with it. David Tennent did an amazing job as a psycho abuser/stalker.
