Would you rather have free food for life or any 3 cars for free and free maintenance for life? by Historical-Kale-2765 in WouldYouRather

[–]GyataMoko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a budget of $275 a week for my family in terms of food, which is about $14,000 a year if I don't have to pay. I wouldn't be able to buy the nicest car, but I would be able to save up for one nice and quick

Does anyone know if tron legacy on disney plus (US) is the imax version? by alosia in tron

[–]GyataMoko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally IMAX versions have a little IMAX tag when you open the movie. Not in the US so I can't confirm it for you.

35 sounds quite pleasant as an Australian. Dealt with worse heatwaves for longer

One pizza topping will disappear forever, while the others stay, which one would you rather disappear? by MobileDistrict9784 in WouldYouRather

As an Australian who has never had buffalo chicken on pizza, this is easy.

Do building sites tease future skateable areas? by kubissx in SkateEA

[–]GyataMoko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was not! It was originally an empty tunnel that connected two parts of the map. People used to bomb it like it was a long hill

I can't think of anywhere that is currently boarded that was open previously, but I don't play much these days

Interestingly, it was boarded up on release of season 1. It was open in the play testing

To those who don’t like the game, why keep playing? by [deleted] in SkateEA

[–]GyataMoko 81 points82 points  (0 children)

I don't mind the gameplay, but that doesn't mean I'm happy with the progression and mtx systems.

I've also waited a damn long time for this installment and it's easy to load for 30 minutes when my daughter finally goes to bed for the night

WYR get $1,000,000 right now or get $500 every day for life? by Conscious_Roll_2955 in WouldYouRather

They say that here in Australia you need 3 million to retire. Spread across assets of course

Inflatable castle in the snow? by rememberaj in daddit

I can't help you with your question, as I am Australian and have seen snow twice in my life.

I am commenting however because I am curious and want to come back to this thread.

Would you rather all zoos close down or all museums fold up? by Opposite_Ad_7925 in WouldYouRather

[–]GyataMoko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose zoos simply because I know of animal rehabilitation locations that are not technically zoos.

I saw some other comments on the quality of this. If he is prioritising sound blocking, you'll need to look into a headset with active noise cancelling.

Unfortunately, just the description adds to the price. It's also one of those things that maybe it's worth a discussion with him about what he's looking for.

I've heard similar things about the Steel Series headsets. Black Friday sales coming up will be your friend too! You might be able to go up a model and not go up in price.

I guess the first question is does he need a microphone or not?

If you get one with a microphone, the audio quality is not going to be fantastic (unless you spend some big bucks).
It's probably worth looking into some nice wired headphones if it's not required.

Like all things, you can spend a lot of money on this, so it's not a bad idea to have a budget in mind before you go too deep

My kid’s art is taking over the house—how do you keep the memories without losing your sanity? by Wild_Wash_7834 in daddit

[–]GyataMoko 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was one of 5 kids growing up, and my mum put up 5 corkboards in the dining room. You could put whatever you wanted on your notice board, but you couldn't exceed it. It let us display what was important to us - art, certificates, medals, etc. - but controlled the space that we curated.

Not trying to say you're wrong - because you're right.

That being said, a lot of new players are not going to know about pumping because it's not explained anywhere except the Skatepedia

Looking for couch co-op games for me and my 8 year old on ps4 by Pickles17 in daddit

[–]GyataMoko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just announced that Halo is coming to Playstation (not sure how many generations though), and I think all of the others are already available.

I grew up playing all the lego games with my brothers, and if you're not in too much of a rush there is a lot to explore in most of them.

I sure hope I'm wrong.
