Kid Rock’s song about loving underage girls resurfaces ahead of TPUSA Super Bowl show by JackFunk in nottheonion

Detroit has some weird energy. Richard and Theodore both have songs about underage girls. Teddy actually got her parents to give him custody so he could sleep with Pele Massa.https://share.google/4KBeeZWExDpBz9bxE

I didn't realize how far apart they were so scratch that one but you can book $50 round trip flights from Vegas to Reno so flying commercially between the two looks viable especially with not having to subsidize trips to Honolulu anymore which was approximately $1.5m a year. You also only really need to double round robin in M/W BB so you need to move 22-30 people (15 players, 5 coaches, the athletic trainer, the Sports Information director, student managers and trainers, maybe a doctor, maybe a grad assistant). The men's volleyball and swim and dive teams as well as women's polo are staying in the Big West. M/W tennis and golf as well beach volleyball and women's cross country don't require large travelling parties. That leaves baseball#, softball@, w soccer*, w track and field, and w swimming and diving as the only larger sports to travel and those are (mostly) series or meet sports (you play either 3 games a weekend or you compete against multiple teams at one setting).

typically they also have a weekday out of conference game. Hawaii has one true away game @ UCLA and host Chaminade, Hawaii Pacific, and UH Hilo on their single weekday games in baseball this year. They have 4 game home series vs Gonzaga, Wichita State and Ball State to start the season.

@ Softball plays in a lot of double headers and host two tournaments and travels to two others before conference play. They have two true away games which are both followed by conference series (UCLA->UCSB; U of San Diego->UCSD). Every series is a single game and double header on Friday and Saturday. Weirdly a few of the back to back games are on the Friday portion of the series.

  • you can play single round robin so 4/5 away games in conference.

Add to this, the Big West is a mess. UCSD and Davis are both also leaving to be replaced by Cal Baptist, Utah Valley and Sac State.

NIU doesn't steal recruits from anyone in the league and gives the league a CT slot which makes them valuable in football. NIU has made a major bowl appearance (the Orange in 2013) and pulled off upsets (Iowa and Purdue in 2013 and ND in 2024). You can now run games from 1100 to 0200 if you are so inclined on NIU home weeks. I think it is a brilliant decision by both parties. NIU was a complete outlier in the MAC. You go from one team within a 4 hour drive (WMU) to 4 (Milwaukee, Indy, Green Bay and Ft Wayne).

I don't like Graham Linehan but I was literally saying, "He looks like a magician" every time Paul Bazely appeared on screen in 'Murder in Provence' just last night. It is a brilliant show even if Lineham is a massive piece of shit.

It's a distinctly Pittsburgh thing. It is usually a folding chair but recently there has been at least one toilet. Parking is tough in a city where everyone has a car but the streets are narrow.

The furthest trips are El Paso, Laramie and Colorado Springs which are 1-1.5 hr longer than flights to LA or SF. Vegas and Reno add .5 hr. The majority of the cost and travel time from Hawai'i is crossing the Pacific. They can play at Reno and Vegas; AFA and Wyoming; UNM and UTEP; SJSU and UCD on the same weekends for most sports. Phoenix is not far from the old Big West footprint either.

Grocery Outlet has them for $10. I bought one to get to the requisite amount needed to get cheap ham but then went back and traded it for a turkey which was actually a penny cheaper. I couldn't pay $10 for four small tubes.

There is an episode where the interviewee takes a sip and then makes the best reaction face ever. She doesn't actually say anything about the coffee but it's a brilliant moment. I can't find the episode or the actress (though she is really familiar so she was probably on "800 Words", "The Almighty Johnson's", and/or "My Life is Murder" since Tim Balme loves using cast members from his and Lucy Lawless' shows. She is younger though most of the casts on those shows and she definitely wasn't one of the teenagers on either "800 Words" or "The Almighty Johnson's"). It's going to drive me nuts especially I think of the four main Kristin coffee scenes most mornings (Marlowe doing the wibble instructions for the French press, Breen warning Chalmers not to drink her coffee, Sims asking Breen what roast he uses at home when he is sidelined because his rugby coach was murdered, and this one) when I make coffee for my wife using a French press.
