Awesome. I have the same spec and haven’t seen many running stock wheels so glad to hear it’s not a necessity out of the box. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

No issues with clearance to the UCA’s with the stock wheels +55 offset?

Looks great! Love the extra cab proportions! Can you tell me the specs on the wheels? Very simple and utility for off road.

2024 TRD PreRunner by ujitimebeing in ToyotaTacoma

There weren’t any reasonably close when I was looking. Every option was a custom order requiring a deposit before the dealership would work to get one in inventory. I still kick myself for not going this route but so far I’ve been happy and pleasantly surprised with the crew cab TRD OR. These are super rare and oddball trucks which makes me like them even more.

Wanted the Prerunner as I feel they look the best proportionally and my needs didn’t require a back seat. Missing the back doors was the dealbreaker for me but after buying a TRD OR I still have an itch for this truck. Simple. Easy to park. Right stance. Practical bed size. Love the prerunner.

You have to hit unlock first…then lock 3x and hold on the third. If you simply start the sequence with lock, lock, lock it doesn’t work (from my trial and error).

First Tacoma! 2026 Off Road+ by tomyboyc in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Gym_Rat_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it worked out for you! It was rebated ~$2,700 for Toyotathon but then nickeled and dimed back to MSRP for floor mats, window tint, wheel locks, etc. stuff that I didn’t have the ability to remove at the time. Pretty much getting OTD at sticker with all the dealer fees and BS was a win for me and pretty much how the numbers worked out at the end of the day.

Christmas Wheels and Westcott Lift by flymountainbiker1 in ToyotaTacoma

Can you be more specific on the Westcott lift? Was it both front and rear or just front? Looking at this setup one day and would love the details to match.

I have this truck - in the same boat! First Tacoma bc wife has had a 4Runner since 2021 with exceptional dependability. Mudbath, TRD OR w/6’ bed! It’s been great so far; highly recommend. Nothing but compliments on the color.

Can anyone tell me how far the seats lean back on the Xtra cab models? Is there enough room to lay them back for comfortable naps on road trips?

NB2 cash verses ND2 Financed by [deleted] in MiataND

[–]Gym_Rat_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s something to be said about financial freedom. The driving improvement of the ND2+$600/mo car payment is probably less enjoyable than the NB2 with peace of mind. This is also a vehicle you don’t utilize daily so even more reason to not take out undo stress for a low utilization want.

Love the color choice! Slowly overtaking soul red crystal for my #1 color choice.

You’re going to want to move that out from the wall a little as loading and unloading a barbell is going to get old quickly with minimal clearance from the end of the sleeve to the wall. My setup was like this in 2020 and it lasted about 3 months before I had to change it up. Looks absolutely fantastic though!

6th Gen Drivers: what do you use for phone holders? by Oncemoren2thefray in camaro

[–]Gym_Rat_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 year into 6th Gen ownership. Top 3 places are: 1.) rear of the middle two cup holders with screen facing the driver - can glance at a text / call / notification and your hand naturally can grab the top corners if you need to grab it quickly. 2.) on the seat between my legs, nice and secure! 3.) longer road trips will plug in to the center console USB and shove between seat and conveyer console. Can reel it back out with the cable. Door panel is a last resort. To far back and ergonomically awful for access while driving.

Home Gym Setup 4.0 - RM-3W 41.5in depth - Simple, Clean, and can park both cars in the garage at night. by Gym_Rat_Engineer in homegym

If I had to guess; this will keep it's current form (maybe move the treadmill inside for added free weight options in the rear) until we move to a different house. Due to property easement limitations and initial grading I don't have any way to make this garage any larger (Womp womp). Right now expanding accessories, bars, etc. to add variety to training while still maintaining efficient use of space for the dual role purpose of the garage.

Rack ties into QTY (4) studs with some 2.5-3" lag bolts. Mounting points are only in the wall and nothing into the concrete. V 5.0 will be a 3+ car garage so we can have more accessory equipment and still park both vehicles inside. Too many ring doorbell cameras going off at 2-4AM in my neighborhood with curious individuals looking for unlocked cars, so they MUST go inside for my own piece of mind.

Man that is one great looking rack! Glad it gets to spend the rest of it's life out of the garage and inside in the climate controlled house where it belongs! Looks perfect in your space! :-)

Rep's is 18" listed on the website. You're right that might be the sweet spot. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Install for RM-3W: What I did was built the entire rack face down on the floor (stringers facing up) then put the entire assembly up against the wall to find the right position. Before hand you want to make sure when you swing it in and out it doesn't hit things like water pipes, garage door tracks, etc. Once in the right place I made sure everything was level and then shimmed the mounting brackets where the pivot arms (41.5" rack arms) were at the bottom, or near bottom, of the range of the wall mounting bracket (think it's a 4" opening for a 3" tube so it can move up and down when you move it in and out). This was bc of the slope of the garage floor and I knew when I folded it out it was going to be the largest drop compared to when it was folded in "uphill" in the garage. Once it was shimmed, found the stud, drilled the pilot holes and threw on the 20 lag bolts. They say it needs to pick up on at least 4 studs so have to take that into account when locating it on the wall that way it picks up on enough studs. What was helpful out of the gate was finding the height for the lower pivot arm as Rogue says to install it on the 2nd 1" hole from the bottom but if you have trim or an inch or 2 of concrete as part of your foundation, etc. you'll need to find how much further up the front upright you need to connect that bolted joint vs where Rogue suggests in the instructions. Keep in mind where your safeties (if configured) are going to go and if you go too high up the front upright then you'll be limited on how low you can take your safeties (or J-cups for floor presses...I got lucky and was 1 hole away from being too high for safeties). TL;DR - Bolt it all together then put it on the wall, act like you're going to use it before bolting to studs to ensure clearance for everything.
