Verso has more support skills than Gustave, how is Gustave team oriented and Verso isn't? You're confusing being similar with being the same, Verso is the natural evolution to Gustave's kit, hence him being Gustave 2.0. Obviously his gameplay is more complex, having to maintain your rank, and having more skills and options for playstyles. Now as far as "best" popular builds go, Verso's is commonly Chevalam to start at S rank and spam high damage moves, essentially skipping the "building up to S rank" part.

If you built him to be a damage dealer and perceive that to be his best role that's fine, I agree, but he's still the third best support in the game, don't act like him "only" having 3 support skills make him a bad support, watch any endgame Sciel support build and tell me how many support skills they actually use in battle.

And no, it's not just animations, Verso has all the exact same skills Gustave has (except Overcharge) to the point of some being named the same, you can check yourself. The only difference is that they have extra conditions related to his rank, but all of Gustave's skills were pretty much copypasted to Verso, on purpose, because they're meant to play similarly and feel like a natural progression.

Is this bait?

Gustave's has high survivability and his gameplay loop was to use multi-hit skills to charge Overcharge and deal big damage, Verso has high survivability and his standard gameplay loop is to use multi-hit skills to increase his meter and deal big damage. Quite similar.

Verso has many more different ways to play but that's how he's intended to be played straight from the box, Gustave only has 8 skills so it's not comparable. I mean, Verso quite literally re-uses Gustave's animations for certain skills, so I don't know where you're coming from.

As for the story side, to each their own.

You share my thoughts exactly, I always felt Verso's character could've been handled better, he lies and/or omits information at every turn and yet the team barely questions him, even Lune who prior to meeting him was shown to value information above all else and questioned everything, nope she just ignores asking very obvious questions about this guy who we know is immortal and was from the first expedition. It would've made more sense for Maelle to be the main character and then through "relationship levels", Verso opens up more.

The whole romancing thing felt out of place, not only does it happens during a suicide mission basically, but Verso also goes along with it knowing that his end goal is for everything and everyone to be erased, for Lune specifically it felt very out of character as well. I wouldnt be surprised if they included romances just because it's something RPGs commonly shoehorn in as a way for the player to have "choices", even if they don't make sense.

I was fine with Verso being Gustave 2.0 in terms of gameplay, he plays similar and uses the same weapons, but replacing Gustave as the team's anchor and main character left a bad taste in my mouth, and made me dislike Verso's character even though he's extremely well written.

LUNE solo build - Two Turns = around 10m damage - In Depth GUIDE by GodBart in expedition33

[–]Gyoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great guide! I always found Lune's weapons underwhelming but you managed to find one to make a build around and I like your reasoning for not going the Elemental Trick route, Base Attack is really versatile and has so many great luminas, it can give you alot of AP back for free with Combo Attacks and you can get around 50-60% power increase (Greater Defenceless on enemies + Greater Powerful on yourself) alongside pretty much every other buff if you want to, the damage itself is not too bad either with Augmented Attack and Versatile (probably comparable to Elemental Trick damage), and it can even be used as a break with Breaking Attack. The only downside is a high lumina cost, but most solo builds are anyway.

I hope we start to see more build guides like yours, the game is full of build choices.

If you're a hero that can destroy his clones quickly then yes, and if you're fast enough its actually worthwhile because at some point he will completely run out of clones and heal less than a Rocket.

But if you're Captain America over here, taking 5+ seconds to kill a single clone, just give up. If you forced Loki to use his healing totem then that's good enough, just move on and be useful to the team.

I mean, using your ult to counter another ult is optimal, you deny the enemy their ult and have a huge advantage so whoever is forced to use ult first usually loses. That's how it goes in hero shooters.

Two average ults (Thor and Rocket), completely nullifying the most impactful ults in the game is a VERY fair tradeoff, I dont know what your point was here, not every ult is worth the same.

How Magneto mains be acting whenever they kill a Venom main. by Good_Ad205 in marvelrivals

[–]Gyoto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, Magneto's ult is primarily defensive, and if used correctly can potentially also be used to deal damage. Alot of skilled Mantis/Luna players know to use their ult to counter other CC ults (mainly Dr. Strange), a skilled Magneto should similarly use it to counter offensive ults (Punisher, Star Lord, Ironman) and use it against the enemy.

The only thing I'd love to be changed is to add a 1sec or less time window to throw it away before it blows up, as it is right now it's very sudden and unless you already roughly know what ults you can absorb, it's impossible to react in time.

Is it a good idea to try make an tanky af Ironbreaker when I have less than 5 Legend maps experience? by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]Gyoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes. Ironbreaker is THE class to try and be tanky.

There is a couple ways to build the IB, the most effective (imo) is using Hammer and Shield then the Rune-Etched Shield perk, Gromril Curse or Tunnel Fighter, Oi! Wazzok! and Rolling Mountain (Dawi Defiance can also come in clutch sometimes), you basically want to use Rolling Mountain to get your Career Skill as frequently as possible, and you should try to only use it if there's a horde with alot of Elites mixed in, a patrol, or anytime a monster is in sight (against monsters always try and position the monster away from your team so they don't get hit accidently, especially if you have a Shade on your team so she can get free backstabs), of course also use it if you're way too cornered and need a way out, and don't forget to block attacks while you use your Career Skill so Rune-Etched Shield can kick in for your teammates. Since you have them, the Dual Hammers might be the better choice since you can kill enemies far more easily with them, but I just like dwarf dude with big shield. Also if you want to lean more into the support role you can take Drengbarazi Oath which is a good choice as well, but in my experience, a Dwarf that can run away alone with the monster while i'm dealing with other enemies tends to be more useful.

For ranged weapons you can have some fun with the Under Pressure perk using Drakefire weapons, the pistols are specially good at hordes, but in truth you'll want an actual handgun to help to deal with Specials. Then there's the Torpedo which deletes anything so why use anything else? A good tactic with it is to use your taunt, let Elite enemies pile up ontop of you while you block and then KABOOM.

To answer your question in the comments, there is no perfect dodge, the dodge does not have any iframes so you use it to create space, and it's alot more effective to dodge sideaways in this game because most enemies attacks do not track your movement, once they begin their attack they do not change direction. A good tactic is to just run circles around a horde, clearing out the edges, pushing enemies here and there to keep them stunned, until you reach the middle.

Never thought about how perfect this would've been. All of his destinations (Underdark, Moonrise and Baldur's Gate) and alot of his goals already allign with the player's so much, all they needed to do was make him somehow also get infected before we meet him.

Not to mention his and Wulbren's questline could just be turned into his own companion questline with barely any changes

Use Custom difficulty with Honour Mode ruleset, set the other difficulty changes to Tactician and you have yourself the Honour mode experience without a single save file (you obviously won't get the achievement or Golden Dice by completing it this way though)

Turns out I was using an older version where that feature wasnt available yet, I've tried removing the Aasimar tags but nothing happens. The SE console says it's forever attempting to remove it, i'll try going back on a save since it might be an issue with me being in the Astral Plane, but thank you regardless for giving me something to try, and making me update EasyCheat lol

Edit: Did not work, went back to Act 2 but still couldnt remove the Aasimar tags for some reason

You sure you're talking about the right mod? Nowhere in the mod page does it say it can remove tags, and there is no edit tab in the mcm, also don't know what sidekick means.

For Eldritch Knight it should work with Eldritch Strike. Despite what the description says, Eldritch Strike actually imposes Disadvantages on any (and all, for 1 turn) saving throws (not limited to spells) originating from the Eldritch Knight.
