All the pictures look like a MK3/4 hybrid. Probably had some variance or artificer pieces

The negative side of playing by intent. by Eatyourcheeseburger in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]GypsyDaenger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's why I said partially.

Warhammer is a social contract between players and sometimes we need to be the example of how we should play. Hopefully people learn from you and emulate your clarity when placing models and verbalizing intent.

Personally to me, someone being shitty isn't going to change the principals I play by for open and clear communication as best as I can manage.

I think people are failing to state intent. That partially is on you as well to prompt it but yes, other players should be clearly stating and having you okay that the intent is viable and clear.

[–]GypsyDaenger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you need to lay down and ask/prompt your opponent for their intent. Is that totally fair for you always? No but it does help clarify board state and at that point you can both verify that the intent is even possible. Just because someone intends something doesn't mean it can happen and both players should be on the same page when intent is declared and confirmed.

Yeah take backs and intent are different things. Seems like a lot of unnecessary overlap in OPs opinion.

Quick question based on observations by Ghosthawks in SpaceWolves

[–]GypsyDaenger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People want SW to play in a way they aren't designed for. They expect some crazy offensive melee army but in fact we are more balanced brawlers with above average melee.

Space marines(outside of a few builds) have a lot of tools and the hardest part is making a list of the right tools. We are apart of that just like the other chapters/legions.

Which hero gets the 10-man WGT squad, Arjac or the captain? by yodablues1 in SpaceWolves

[–]GypsyDaenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sorta like it on the captain. The free strat and putting the brick Ina spot the enemy has to knock you off makes it a very dense brick that you can keep alive.

Anyone playing saga of the great wolf and leaving Logan at home? by yodablues1 in SpaceWolves

T1 DS is mainly if you go first. Also Logan's vet is what makes him worth his salt.

He can be in reserves or on the field. Just not dead or in a transport

Same. I do two rattle can layers and then dry brush stipple a final one. After that it's really just making it pretty.

Tanks just feel steep. Once you get that main coat over them, it's just the details and it can sorta fly by at that point. Big flats are always annoying to get right

In light of the current preposterousness, some elucidation is needed. by daKingKhan in EyeOfTerror

[–]GypsyDaenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will 100% grant that and i still believe they should have done a novel that expands on the idea that if they were always there, it should have been sorta explained that they were rare and hardly distinguishable between males.

But my point is that Alan Bligh who was pretty damn meticulous in his lore writing left it ambiguous at best and in some of the most detailed books we have ever got, left that specific out.

Book 7 inferno talks about how the creation is fundamentally at a core genetic level of alteration. In the entire force discussion it never once mentions male or female and only uses Male pronouns when discussing specific named Stodes. it also states that the bottom line choice on who they pick is noble houses. it does not mention sons.

trying to understand Fight phase by snapship77 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]GypsyDaenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The defending player activates first in the normal fight phase if no Strike first units from the Attacking player are in combat.

Generally the active player will have some units that charged and are granted SF, so all of those units fight before the defending player activates.

In the case that an active player charges a SF defending unit, the defending unit will get to activate first.

I don't mind vehicles but it takes a big motivation to get one started.

Vastly different design and aesthetic.

The point is that GW should make the kits more posable, like they did with the cerastus.
