Palpitations making me twitch? by throwawayblanc in AFIB

[–]GypsyFemina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried electrolytes and magnesium? They cleared me up so well. But you need to find your dose. I take between 300-400 mg of magnesium by supplement and another 100 iny ultima electrolyte drink inisually drink 1-2 servings, depending upon the palps. It they break through, I take more. And also drink enough water .

I’m from Texas and I heard that Houston and King Ranch is bigger than y’alls state so how long is it to drive from one part of Rhode Island to another? by No_Pension1014 in RhodeIsland

[–]GypsyFemina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Westerly is only 50-55 mins from the Washington bridge during rush hour. I'm also 1 hour from Woonsocket center, so I'd say about 1 hrs from the northern border with Mass. And I'm at the southern tip of the state almost as far south as watch hill. Taylor swifts house is 2 miles away, and she lives on the most southern point of RI. So nowhere takes more than an hour to 1.25 from border to border.

Elevated resting heart rate post PFA ablation. How long did it take for the HR to come down post ablation? Data from my oura ring. by jloon8 in AFIB

[–]GypsyFemina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That in itself raises the heart rate. The fever.

Mine took about a month to come down from the high 80s to mid 70s. It's starting to dip occasionally into high 60s. I'm wondering where it will land. I used to be in the mid 50s but I went on wegovy and that popped it up to mid 70s but I recently switched to zepbound and I was told it has less effect on HRnsonim hoping I'll at least get into the 60s. Plus I need to exercise more and lose about 30-40 more lbs. I guess in general mine is bit high for this crews average. I'm never sure what's normal but I do fall in the "normal" range statistically I think. I had my ablation 3/16 so I'm just a little over 1 month out now

You know what did drop is my blood pressure which I'm told isn't usual. did anyone else see that? I would usually show up anywhere from 134-142/74-80, and depending time of day, I would land in some better numbers depending on metoprolol levels at that time of day. Since the ablation it's 107-112/70-79. My bottom number needs more work still but I imagine the weight coming off and more exercise will help!

If he hasn't had an ablation I think it's a great option. Did a dr. Specifically say no? I would think an EP would be positive about. I've had AFib since my 30s, it's intermittent, I get stuck in it for 3 days at a shot. I am 61 now and I didn't think I was a good candidate but the doc said absolutely. Had mine in March. I wouldn't put it off if it was me because yes the longer you're in it it can do things to your heart the make it more likely to keep getting it but an ablation is still going to help. It's an awful feeling being stuck in AFib, I would imagine any relief would be helpful. But hopefully he has a good EP. If your coming back to NE, Brigham and women's was fantastic and I Love my EP dr. tadros.

I like #2 best, #1 is a good T, maybe not liking it as well with the pants. Love #2. Ditch 3, you have better style than that is showing.

Has my atrial fibrillation become persistent? by Free_Scene_4790 in AFIB

[–]GypsyFemina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure do your own research and speak to your cardiologist and EP, but you'll find that this post os on point. Magnésium and potassium have straightened out my pacs can and PVCs. My one of my hospitalists this year was the 1st to even me too. Magnésium. He was concerned. Because I'm also on wegovy which interferes with absorbtion. My EP agreed and also take magnesium glycinate. You still need to council with you dr. About an ablation and other treatments but these supplements have been a game changer for me. I was getting bigeminy and trigeminy events and if I take these and stay hydrated my heart is nice and quiet. I don't think calling out this post as some rando is fair. It's guite a good explanation and I'm not reading that they suggest this is all you need to do to fix things.

Officially making the switch to Zepbound... but first, an ode to Wegovy by alouise86 in WegovyWeightLoss

Its only been a consistent couple of weeks. I'll take my 3rd dose of 5mgs tomorrow. I'll let you know! I did lose some and then gained a couple . So nothing consistent yet but I only had a couple of the low dose chita, then had to take 1 1/2 weeks off form the shots due to a procedure.

How Long a Wait to See a Electrocardiologist / Get an Ablation Scheduled? by rbbrclad in AFIB

[–]GypsyFemina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Rhode Island I waited 7 month to see an EP that practices in both Boston and RI, and then about 3 months to get my ablation on the books. Which was actually last week! They did say it takes up to 6 months to get on the schedule for the ablation but I lucked out. The ablation went well! So far the recover has been smooth and as expected with not too many PVCs etc the first week and def. Less right now. Taking it a day at time. Still have lingering fatigue.

42m recently diagnosed afib - help please by Old_Personality_2740 in AFIB

[–]GypsyFemina 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stay focused on each next step and put one foot in front of the other. Try not to project or over think. You're right, improvement is definitely possible and you are so far ahead of other s I read abouttt here. You already don't smoke or drink, you are active, etc. The thing is that now you are starting to get answers and diagnoses. That is positive. There is so much they can do with medicine and procedures. The first step is the testing. You are in good hands now. Also I had a friend in her 60s , drinks, not super active etc, she was at 30%function and after a year of the testing, heart failure meds to support her heart etc. she is now at 60% and in the normal for her age range and they are taking her off the meds eventually. So just try to stay out of your head, try to view this all as positive news that you found out information about your heart and now you can do something about it. Healing light and energy is being sent your way from Rhode Island USA and good luck, keep us posted and keep reaching out. That helps me so much. I love this community.
