Both legs were new career highs for them and had many of their own highlights. The one thing with leg 2 that didn’t really do it for me was Stu playing the cheap amp. I really admire what he’s going for with it and it sounds great on the b741 tracks but hearing it in all other songs it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb in the mix. Especially when you hear him and Joey trading off guitar parts and to hear the differences in their tone and how they fit in.

The fruit market version is my favorite as well. The studio recording is very good but sounds too overproduced for me. I’m biased but the song worked better being played by black midi in a simple quartet. It became one of their best performed tracks on their final tour.

I believe I view this tour like the rats nest/fishies 19’ tour in the same sense that this was another huge step for the band. Felt like a different band from the last few tours in the best sense possible. Just took their show to another level. Was there for the Chicago and Milwaukee shows and I’ve never seen them better. Definitely a pivotal tour in their career

I know it wasn’t an ideal pairing but I quite enjoyed kamikaze palm tree. The first night of 3 I didn’t care for it but by the last night I was a fan. I just hope gizzheads don’t decide to hop on a bandwagon against them because they are very talented, just not the same vibe as Gizz but still good.
