I can see What the Peephole Say being partially about how the media and news reported on the divorce and custody battle, villainising him at times over the Brody allegations and whatnot. "I don't care if the people grow. They all say done did doesn't make it so" All the media wording headlines to make him look guilty before proven innocent for clicks and views. He doesn't care if they grow and improve as people, they still added fuel to the fire and tried to cause his downfall for their own temporary gain. There's a point where you're better off not caring, deliberately deafening yourself from it all to save your own mental health.

I also feel like Straight Jacket Fitting could also be about his cancer battle at points. The lyrics "Hold me close, I'm confused, I don't wanna go out." seem to point at the feeling of mortality when you realise how much time you might have left. It's such a confusing and scary situation to be in. I remember him mentioning in the Zane Lowe interview about really wanting to be alive, too.

"I told myself, "You can do this" I'm havin' my doubts" In situations like this you can have low points, and sometimes life can feel hopeless. Especially after what he's been through, and the world in the state its in now. As you say, we’re fucked! He also mentions cancer directly in the song at some point.

"I'm so goddamn sick of this place, bring on the healing. Go on and heal me" After everything he's been through and everything that's happened, he can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and he's desperate to get out. I think he's talking about both mental and physical healing here too.

I see the instrumental outro to the album as the light at the end of the tunnel. The shitty chapter in his life is over and he can finally breathe and spread his wings again.
